I am shocked, but also very happy. Wow.

OP posts:
whogrewoutoftheterribletwos · 24/06/2016 05:01

adrianna he did it because a the polls said the last election was going to be another hung parliament. He gambled - offered it as a sop I'm the manifesto to the right of his party. Only they got an unexpected majority. He bet, then he lost

helpbuyingahouse · 24/06/2016 05:03

Ginandsonic, they have almost one million more votes. So, it is very very unlikely that Remain will win now. My heart is racing, I feel physically sick. This should never have happened.

Lighteningirll · 24/06/2016 05:04

Cameron would never have been elected without the referendum Farage would easily have taken votes from him

antimatter · 24/06/2016 05:04

How can people be ecstatic at 8% drop of value of their ow currency and looming depression!
My company has already frozen recruitment.
There will be redundancies.
Not for the riches of this world!

braceybracegirl · 24/06/2016 05:04

im actually in tears. its terrifying. what on earth have we done.

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 05:05

Well let's be clear - all those people who voted leave won't be moaning about cuts in government services or another recession or cuts in benefits. Will they? And if there is a spike in unemployment of course that will be someone else's fault . And their kids are going to be happy to do the shit jobs done by immigrants .
Slow hand clap

Badders123 · 24/06/2016 05:05

God help us all Sad

Hamishandthefoxes · 24/06/2016 05:06

I really hope it works out well for those people who voted leave. If it doesn't - tough. You got what you wanted. If that means food prices go up 20% and we're in recession for 10 years with the loss of the NHS and most of the financial industry I'm sure you're prepared, right... Right?

Hellothereitsme · 24/06/2016 05:07

Frightening. Saying that the big university towns voted to stay. So sad for the younger generation - and my future pension.

Snapnap · 24/06/2016 05:07

We are royally fucked and in no way prepared for this.

MillieMoodle · 24/06/2016 05:07

I can't believe it. I'm not one to get wound up about politics generally, I have my views and always vote but I honestly cannot believe that people would think leaving the EU is a good thing. Years of economic uncertainty ahead, the pound at the lowest it's been in my lifetime. Madness.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 24/06/2016 05:07

I'm absolutely gutted! A know for a fact many people I know who voted leave did so because all they understood of the arguments was leave=less immigration they had absolutely no understanding of any of the economic ramifications. Now I have to go to work today (for a German company) and listen to all their small minded racist crap. Sad

Justchanged · 24/06/2016 05:07

I am devastated. The economy is tanking already. There is no plan for what happens next. What good can come of this?

saskdilemma · 24/06/2016 05:08

Most of the people who voted out are in little jobs that won't be affected, its most of us in high value jobs that will pay for this. Fuck this. I'm moving to sweden and DH will just have to comply.

Little people who are narrow minded, of limited intelligence, who have no real understanding of how the law works (whether in the UK or the EU) have won this referendum. Stupid people will end up paying. My sister who is a doctor is already looking at moving abroad and I think this will be a push factor.

DorothyL · 24/06/2016 05:08

I dread telling my children, they will be so worried and I won't know what to say to allay their fears Sad

sweetkitty · 24/06/2016 05:10

I really could cry. I'm in Scotland we voted to Remain but will be made to Leave.

braceybracegirl · 24/06/2016 05:11

its so so close i just don't see how they can legitimately follow the result when its so close.

DrunkDori · 24/06/2016 05:12

It's awful. I feel so scared. 48% of us didn't want this.

stubbornstains · 24/06/2016 05:13

I want to move to France. Now. But how can I- the kids' school, XP lives here...

That1950sMum · 24/06/2016 05:13

I am so shocked.

A victory for ignorance.

Whisky2014 · 24/06/2016 05:13

The people who voted to leave are clearly morons. Take a look at the pound against the dollar right now. Slow hand clap.
Bring on a Scottish referendum!!

GettingScaredNow · 24/06/2016 05:14

I feel there should be more then 50%, like 55%.
But I can see why most wouldn't accept that.

Am sitting in tears, feel very sick and anxious this morning

unlucky83 · 24/06/2016 05:14

I am thrilled - as has just been said by Chuka Umunna on the BBC it is a massive shake up for the EU too - Keith Vaz has just said the same.
I voted leave for that very reason...the EU badly needed a shake up...
Apparently the world is and will be in shock too.
Also the support for remain and leave split is so clear...I think that should be a wake up call for UK politicians - that the SE or rather London is almost a separate country.

I think Labour still aren't accepting that they are no longer representing the working class - the people who formed their party ... I think no one really feels represented by any politician any more.
I think Gordon Brown calling that woman a bigot for expressing her concerns and the cries of racism and xenophobe to silence people with genuine concerns in this referendum instead of trying to understand why they felt the way they did show how little politicians have been listening to people.

helpbuyingahouse · 24/06/2016 05:14

Indeed I didn't want this, 13m people didn't want this. This is so terribly unfair. And what do I do? I am buying a house but my job now would be at risk. This is madness you all Leavers will regret it but us remainers will have to face the consequences

GettingScaredNow · 24/06/2016 05:15

No, it can't be pulled back, even if every vote from now comes in Remain, the Leave party have the majority.
