but in RL what will that mean?
Will some schools not do them?

Do you mean illegal? Isn't it terrible that our children end up as pawns in these horrible poilitical confrontations. If only head teachers were given the trust and power to make thier own decisions in the interests of the children.

When I see kids on the TV sticking pieces of paper together with glue and paint instead of SATS for a more "rounded curriculum", that does get me cross!, and says it all really. The teachers have denied those children the chance to apply what they have studied for this year and that cannot be right.

We were all tested in Junior school every term on the main subjects, SATS is no different in this form or any other!
