Marvellous!

The problem with SATs is that they put a cap on what some children are allowed to learn. Kiddie science lite, prescriptive writing, stultifyingly dull mathematics. But that's all some teachers can teach, tbh.

  1. The NAHT balloted school leaders in schools in England which would normally undertake KS2 SATs in English and mathematics.
  1. The result of the ballot was as follows:

Total number of ballot papers returned: 8755 (turnout 49.7%)

Total number of spoiled papers: 9

Number voting ?YES?: 5360 (61.3%)

Number voting ?NO?: 3386 (38.7%)

  1. The result of the NUT ballot was as follows:

Total number of ballot papers returned: 2478 (turnout 33.8%)

Total number of spoiled papers: 3

Number voting ?YES?: 1853 (74.9%)

Number voting ?NO?: 622 (25.1%)

r.e. the NUT result - I would like to know if the 33.8% is 33.8% of Heads, Deputies and Assisstant Heads (who were the only ones allowed to vote) or 33.8% of the entire membership.
