Poor dd, is quite upset.

this Dad marched up to his daughter, smacked her round the head, pulled her hair, told her she was lucky he wasn't going to really hurt her as there were people around, took her phone, smashed it to the ground, told her that would teach her not to shout at her father, then grabbed her and marched her into the school. Christ poor poor kid.

I was about to drive to the police station to report it, but dd said she didn't want to make things worse for the kid. What would you do?

Did you know about it Friday morning or not till the school was closed and everyone gone home Friday evening? I hope it's the latter otherwise you should have reported it straightaway to the school in person.

herc, crikey, it does say in the title "this afternoon".

It was at 17.15 when I picked her up, and we were driving down the road with her and her sis in the back that she told me.

She also said that the gate keeper saw what happened...but apparently no other adult was around.

Please follow this up - well done for reporting it but follow it up until SS/ police are involved in some way. It really is beyond the pale to treat a child in that manner. She is in immediate danger. What worries me most about this is he made reference to others being around. Can you imagine what he does when they are alone .

Poor poor child.

Have just had an email from dd's form teacher.

She says she has heard about the incident and that she has also heard that a Secure School Police Officer was at the school on Friday evening to interview another form teacher. She doesn't know, but assumes that it was about this act of violence.

She agrees that this should be reported and will let me know what, if anything, the school is doing.

Yes, Crush - I thought the same, what goes on in private?

Thank you for updating us and I'm sorry if I was too sharp with you, it is just hard not to feel all riled up thinking about some of the stuff that goes on.

Sorry, I have asked MN to delete the post. It was another of those moments when I should have just kept that thought in my head instead of typing.

tattifer · 16/05/2009 20:32

Well done mum.

Lulumama · 16/05/2009 21:43

that is great,well done

devotion · 16/05/2009 21:46

Call NSPCC and the police and the school now!!!!

You dont need to give your name or personal details.

I have made reports about other child abuse I have seen in the past and it never came back on me.

You should do it!

devotion · 16/05/2009 21:47
