How many schools did you go to? Not including further education.

I went to 6 before I went to my Secondary school - so that is 7 schools. I also had about 1 year off from school. We emigrated to New Zealand and there was a lot of time playing and sorting new school out, so I have been told by my mother.

1 infants 2 Juniors 3 Senior schools. We moved around alot.

littlefish - was your school in Worcs? Wondering if we might have gone to the same one (although I didn't start there until I was 10).

3 primaries 3 secondaries here too. Moving Primary schools was a doddle really and didn't affect me at all.

Moving Secondary schools was a mess really, especially when I should have done Standard Grades in 4th year (Scotland) but ended up doing GCSEs in 5th year (England) with an extra move inbetween as well as well.

Affected my self esteem too if I'm honest.

seven. 2 of them secondary school. I coped but was glad I only had to make one change while in my teens. I am envious of people who have lifelong schoolfriends.

Moving secondaries is hard-I wouldn't do it to my DCs.

One primary, one infants, one middle and three high schools - we moved house several times.

I was sick of it by the second high school. Moving primaries wasn't a problem but at secondary level it is a real pain in the bum. I hated being the bloody new girl yet again.

Hear hear edam! Moving secondaries was a major pita. I had to change my options every time I moved as well so I ended up doing GCSEs in subjects that I'd only studied for a year!

Just goes to show how adaptable we are when we're wee though...

1 infants school, 1 primary school, 1 comprehensive. All within a 5 mile radius. Same for all my friends

7 primary schools, 2 secondary schools (not forces either, some moves for jobs, others due to father dying).
Wouldn't recommend it. Have kept my 3DCs at same primary schools although did change for 6th form at secondary. Moving schools OK for the first few times then became seriously horrible (always the new girl, missing bits of vital education etc).

agree with those who say try not to move during secondary. Tis shit.

4 - 1 primary, 2 secondaries (one for 1st year, 2nd for 4 years) and then sixth form was in 4th school

1 in Germany (4-5)
1 in Kent (6)
1 in Norfolk (6-7)
1 in Whitby (7-11)
1 in Scarborough (11-18)
1 in Peterborough. (18-19 retakes)

Was sent to boarding school aged 7 and would have moved every 18-36 months otherwise.
