Hi, I'm looking for books for my daughter, I was wondering if anyone had or knew where I could get cheap copies of anything written by Anna Fine, Roald dahl and Micheal Murpogo(sp?)

I want to find out about anna fine books and choose which would be right to help me daughter further her reading

also I'm not sure how many books roald dahl wrote for children and if there are any to avoid

The Book People,(online). I got all of Roald Dahls books for less than a tenner. It's a bit hit and miss. Try Red House too.

Amazon have Anne Fine from a penny
The same for Michael Morpurgo
and is slightly more expensive

The Book People are good for bargain sets of authors.

Glad to be of help... The 1p Amazon books are generally fab, but you can get stung on the P&P so beware if you decide to go with them

I would second the book people. They do huge bundles for a few quid. You can get all of Roald Dahls fro £9.99 - but they are hit and mis WRT to stock.

I think they do packages of Anne Fines as well.

Unfortunately they don't seem to be in stock ATM

TR - we are also doing Team Read here. The only difference being that they can choose any books fromteh library (it is a small library though) - so they don't have to be on the list.

Also remember if your daught wants something which isn'rtin the local library you should be able to reqest it free for a child.

I'm alwasy afraid tyo go to the library because I never remember to take things back and have to pay full price for them [twat emoticon]

LOL TR there is that. I'm like that with DVDs. Our local library has a great children's corner and a little garden so i have to set in my head a regular date to go each fortnight or something if i want to remember to take the books back.
[Pruners what a shame i should have given you my number. I had to leave early and kept confronting women on my way out who were approaching the gathering and asking, 'sorry, are you Pruners?'

Or try Read It Swap It on the net - swap books with people for free!

Also I think overdue books are free. The key is to make sure that you issue them on a childrens card.

Bookmooch, if you have other books you're willing to send to people (bit like readitswapit, I think, only you don't have to find someone who has exactly what you want, who wants what you have).
