11+ INTERVIEW CITY OF LONDON BOYS. ANYONE WITH INFO??

ds1 has 1/v this week for this highly competitive / selective school... am THRILLED he has got an interview but now desperate for any tips from thiose who have been through this recently. interview is rumoured to be v tough! aaaagh.

hmmmm.... carrot cake would be nice I think. but only if it has cream cheese frosting. If not, then a chocolate brownie would be marvellous. thank you so much.

Ah Frogs!! It was a few days of going around in circles as we have 3 schools within catchment, all of which dd would be fine at and we would be happy with.There were several changes of heart along the way! In the end, we visited again, spoke to the teachers at her present school, and then wrote pros and cons for each. We came down to St MM for first choice, then HF then EGA.
We find out on 4th March.

So where are you off to next week? Or is it top secret!

Glad you came to a decision you're happy with! Presumably you're pretty close to SMM, so hopefully you'll get lucky. It certainly all looks very shiny and exciting.

No idea where we're going! Maybe the plan is to all wander round Upper St and hope we bump into each other? Do email/CAT me if you want to be copied on any plans.

phew. well we seem to have survived that latest ordeal with our sanity vaguely intact!
from what i can gather from ds (not much) it was "fine" / "ok" / "quite good"....
sounded pretty arduous for 10 year olds to me.... 20 mins one to one i/v with senior staff member... comprising 10 or so (hard) mental maths ?'s, reading english passage aloud and answering ?'s and general chat / ?'s. followed by being taught in group of 15 or so for 30 mins whilst being scrutinised by large number observers. as i said, PHEW! now have to wait for 2 long weeks to find out if he has offer. thanks for all your lovely support. really appreciated.

next friday sounds good to me!
late morning? cake and a little light shopping?
