Any of riding the Brit School 2022 application process. Dd is through to interview for music KS4. It’s beginning to feel like it could actually happen but also feeling very far away if that makes sense. How about you?

Reserve list... It's a fantastic achievement but it means an even longer wait. Good luck to everyone else.

Just had an offer of a place for music - more relieved than happy right now but sure will sink in soon! Good luck to all still waiting.

Finally the news is in - it’s a reserve list for us too @WibbleMcWibble - the nail biting continues. Apparently only 9 in catchment and 5 out of catchment made the reserve list and the lady in the office said if the class size was bigger it would have been a yes which is nice to hear.

Well done @Duffydoodle - goes to show that your. POTUS plan paid off - hope your dd is very happy there.

Made my dd read the thread start to finish as I don’t want her holding all this emotional energy about it for months and months and then feeling even more bereft. Trying to be up beet about current school and extra curriculars etc and saying that we are 100% ready to jump on the Brit school thing if it happens. Good luck managing the disappointment/ hope combo in your house - such a tricky thing to do.

@Lockdowndramaqueen - thank you so much for the good advice!!! We've started looking at workshops/summer courses as positive things to focus on, although a lot of stuff seems to be post16. But hopeful that we'll find someone. And that thread is helpful too!!!

We are trying to forget about it too, such a long shot and I think particularly for KS4 OOC, as it's not as if they apply to other colleges too for a year 10 (I don't know of any). Good luck everyone, keep us updated🤞🏼
