Any of riding the Brit School 2022 application process. Dd is through to interview for music KS4. It’s beginning to feel like it could actually happen but also feeling very far away if that makes sense. How about you?

Yeah don think music will hear today @Duffydoodle. Dd is on tenterhooks to know as all her friends are hearing. I am trying gently to prepare her for the worst just in case.

@lockdowndramaqueen I'm starting to feel sick with the tension and how we will deal with it if she doesn't get in, unbearable. First world problems and all that I know but still a huge deal for them. You think we still have one or two - or several - days to go?!

Just don’t know at this point. Based on previous years I think next week is more likely for music but then everything this year seems different so who knows. 🤞

I know of a Post 16 music with an offer today.

So its that time of year again...my daughter just got an email from Brits stating that she has been unsuccessful in her application but has been offered a place on the reserve list for Dance Strand. I've emailed the school and they are unable to tell me where she is on the reserve list, but have confirmed that there are 21 kids on this list! I have gone back to ask whether the 21 is across all strands or just for Dance. Waiting to hear back but if anyone else has any further information that would be great. Just want to manage her expectations!

@Belshels my daughter is KS4 and we are in the catchment, good luck everyone still waiting to hear..... I did get an email this morning before the news saying they aim to let everyone know before the end of the week

So sorry to hear that @Mum0577, totally agree with @Lockdowndramaqueen - it's not a reflection on the kids...

It's so hard isn't it, but they have all got this far which is incredible. Just think, they are achieving already and imagine. 2 more years of hard work what they will be like for the next stage when 16 or 18 shoot for the moon, you'll land in the stars 💗

Congratulations to those whose children have been offered a place - and commiserations to those whose children didn't make it this time . We're waiting to hear about our daughter who applied for Y10 Art - anyone on that strand heard yet [strained smile]?

Just had an email apologising for delay and hoping to get decision to us be end of week... y10 music strand

Student Services emailed back and said the reserve list was mixed in and out of catchment and they can't say where anyone is in the list, but essentially reserves are a "yes" but there are not enough spaces. If anyone drops out they will be in touch. For us it will depend one of the tiny number of OOC places dropping out.

Just heard - she's got a place (KS4, Art - we're in catchment). She's crying with excitement. I hope other people have good news soon.
