I’ve had so much fun lurking on the entrance test threads in the last years - now it’s my son’s turn .
Still 10 days to go but I’m starting the thread .
Sitting a couple of other schools as well so maybe we could start a general ‘ Surrey entrance exams ‘ thread ( fun ;-)! )
DS ‘s first exam is in two days time .
He’s preparing himself by playing computer games . I let it go as I don’t believe in prepping children too much for these exams - . I just want him to be relaxed .

Two A4 envelopes... offer from RGS and St George Weybridge... happy for him and just waiting to give him good news after school...
Of course RGS was his first choice, he will be so happy to enjoy his half term:-)

We got offer from both RGS and Hampton boys. Now a tough decision to make. But its a good problem to have Grin.

Any suggestions???

Restless Dad both schools are amazing. I think it will come down to preference on which one your son will prefer. It will be a difficult choice. We are planning to retake the 12+ for Hamptons as we will have a better chance due to the relationship that our prep school has with Hamptons.

restlessdad, it is a good decision to have!! congratulations on two very good exam results. We also have a tricky decision, a school we (and more importantly he) love but is much lower down the academic tables than RGS and is a fair journey daily for our VERY forgetful son and then RGS...walkable and high up the tables and obviously academically suitable as he got in. On paper it sounds an easy decision I guess but it isn't. Bright kids do well where ever don't they? no school is going to fail their needs I wouldn't have thought.

DS got in! He said he is ‘considering it’. He would be the only one from his school going. I can see why he is nervous. I hope he decides to go, but he doesn’t want to leave his friends. Well done to all, glad the wait is finally over!

As you say that both schools are good. I think DS likes RGS. Does anyone know if Cricket is strong in one school or other. He is very sporty and love Cricket
