Quick poll : Have your kids got an inset day this week? (29th/30th June)

Ours have, and I was thinking of taking them somewhere like chessington/ legoland, but then someone commented that if ALL local area schools have an inset day then it might actually end up being REALLY busy...

We're south east based - so please tell - are yours off later in the week too?

dd has thursday off , we live in hants.

Just come back from a local attraction - loads of schools on trips there. A friend phoned Chessington and was told they also had lots of schools booked for this Thurs/Fri. Dd will go to Legoland for her Tech trip(!) and nos. 2 and 3 are at the zoo today. Everywhere busy I guess.

No inset days this week in Norwich.

im in the south east too. we had an inset day last friday. but we were the only school in the area to have it then. most schools tagged theirs onto the june holidays. we took the girls to thorpe park. it was great. much better for younger children (mine are 7 & 5) in my opinion than chessington. we went to chessington in the last hols & it was a nightmare. & since they changed the bubble works its not worth going on.
it was reasonably busy at thorpe park because of school groups etc, but nothing compared to the hols. & all the little kids rides were very quiet, we just got on & off. afterwards we went to a pub virtually next door called the hungry horse for a fabulous massive meal it was a good day i wish we were off this week too.
