Quick poll : Have your kids got an inset day this week? (29th/30th June)

Ours have, and I was thinking of taking them somewhere like chessington/ legoland, but then someone commented that if ALL local area schools have an inset day then it might actually end up being REALLY busy...

We're south east based - so please tell - are yours off later in the week too?

You'll have no kids from Shropshire hogging the rides as we've had our inset days already. Think you should be free of Cheshire sprogs too.

swedishmum · 26/06/2006 20:13

We're SE Kent and dd1 is off on Thurs and Fri - thought it was the only school round here. Maybe they are at the same one.... it's a girls only school.

singersgirl · 26/06/2006 20:16

No, we had ours a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday and went to Chessington. It was a fantastic day to go - no queues to get on anything, even the big rollercoasters, and we went on all the rides we wanted to in 5 hours. There were a couple of school groups there, some preschoolers and quite a few people from our school!

Have also been to Legoland on an Inset day last year and that was also excellent.

madrose · 26/06/2006 20:18

we have one on Friday - Clay Cross Derbyshire

Gameboy · 26/06/2006 20:19

ah - doesn't look too bad - phew!

Thanks.

tallmummy · 26/06/2006 20:48

We took kids to legoland last April on an INSET day. I was surprised at how many were their but it wasn't too bad. You might find school groups their. Longest queue only 10 mins.

Not here (thank goodness!) have had two thsi term already, and another on lst day of term. We are however well into 'sily season'- dance troupe today, moving up day tomorrow, etc etc etc. it's lovely, they really enjoy it.
