for all you infant teachers, is it true

i was told today that when children leave nursary the teachers want them to be able to undo and do buttons up, one of the most important things nursary needs to learn them

Tinygang, you're right about the Reception PE days. We let parents know that unless it was shoes on the wrong feet, or something that would make the child uncomfortable, we wouldn't put jumpers back on the right way, or tuck shirt in etc. This is because we wanted the children to really enjoy the achievement of having dressed themselves. We felt it would undermine this if we then went and re-dressed them. It's not that we didn't notice, or didn't care. Quite the opposite in fact!
