Have got an item for sale on t'bay.

No reserve, a similar but older one went the other night for £363.

I sold mine last week to a member of the peerage (apparently) but she couldn't collect it so have relisted. I've got 58 watchers and have had about 5 offers despite there not being a BIN.

I'm covered if I accept £450, as that was roughly my own outlay - but I don't know whether to hold out and try to make a little profit, or sell it to the nice people who are offering that amount.

Help, what should I do? almost a week left to run, it's at £132.

What are you selling?
Could you have not posted it to her? What will you be happy with? I'd accept 450 if this is what you paid out, especially as a similar went for 363.

I'd sell it, but not through Ebay to save the fees.

Personally, I'd sell now.
BUT! I don't sell stuff on ebay to make a profit - I sell it to clear crap items I no longer need or use and to bolster my paypal account for when I buy more crap items I do need

For me, I'd def. let an item go a little cheaper if the buyer can collect as it saves me the hassle of posting the item.

It's too big to post, sadly! Think transport item

Yes I think maybe I will accept.

I'll have to end the listing after she's been and got it though, which will be Tuesday - it's not going to go berserk before then is it, I'm being silly. I get carried away on a wave of fantasy if I get this many watchers. I am normally so rubbish at selling

Mind you it is the only one on there atm and the last one that sold was much older - mine has been used fewer than ten times and is pristine.

Flightattendant25 - do expect some snotty messages from Ebayers if you end the auction early.

I listed a Lombok day bed for £5 a while ago (it was in the garden and going to get wrecked, so I just wanted it gone - my DH hated it... Someone offered to come and pick it up for £80 and I was happy with that - but I got quite a few nasty messages from people when I cancelled the auction!!!

Thankyou Haribos. I hadn;t thought of that. Partly that's whay I feel unsure. Lots of people might be planning to bid and it could make, well, thousands couldn't it!

If I tell you what it is everyone will know my id as it is very obviously the only one.

I want the RIGHT person to have it. I don't like having that level of control. what if I get it wrong?

Just remember though - Ebay is about shifting stuff and making some money in the process.

ANYONE can make a BIN offer. Don't feel bad about ending it early if that's what feels right. You aren't running a charity!!! If you end the auction early and the buyer picks up, then you'll save the Ebay and paypal fees

And loads of people will be watching hoping no one else bids and it goes for a song (I do it all the time - I've forever got 20 items on watch but I rarely bid on them... OK, It's probably a bit more often than rarely, but YSWIM!... Lots of watchers doesn't necessarily translate into lots of bids!!!

And don't be afraid to haggle a bit - if someone offers you £450, tell them they can have it for £480 (or £500 - whatever!)

oh hello again flightattendant! lol

i am very if it's a pashley trike

i would keep it as an auction. I think that people who make offers for you to end early tend to do so because they KNOW it may go for more and don't want to risk it iyswim?
I sold something the other day and had about 4 people e-mail me offering between £85 and £95 for it. I decided to leave it as an auction and it went for £126.
