Good heavens. Do you think they are knitted out of gold spun by elves?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 05/09/2008 14:14

Selina Scott's are cheaper

(pssst don't think I actually bought any, it was in the Times yesterday)

Habbibu · 05/09/2008 14:16

Ah, but did she "knit them herself" Boys? Because clearly that's what you pay the £91 premium for.

mustrunmore · 05/09/2008 14:18

What? What did imiss? There's no way its £98 BIN.

Lilyloo · 05/09/2008 14:18

How much is wool these days ?
I am seriously reconsidering going back to work and getting my nan to teach me to knit

odd, she has tons for sale too, very fishy

Shoshe · 05/09/2008 14:27

Everything she has for sale knitted is £98.00

HappyMummyOfOne · 05/09/2008 14:32

Mmm as if you would pay £98 for a pair of baby mittens, one of which is guaranteed to be lost on the first outing.

The yellow socks are awful, cant see them matching many outfits.

Wonder if she has actually ever sold any.

Coming by superfast mail if it costs that much to send one pair of socks

Lilyloo · 05/09/2008 14:35

Can't believe it seems more lucrative than her original perfume selling

baby socks for 5-6 year olds?

NutterlyUts · 05/09/2008 14:43

I have asked her if the £98 is a typo

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 14:43

Notice though that she doesn't actually say you get a pair....making it an even more lucrative business idea

southeastastra · 05/09/2008 14:44

the baby hats are made from rare lambswool, but still confused

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 14:47

My godfathers she must be a human knitting machine.

hand knitted my arse!

Can you find completed listings from a particular seller? It'd be interesting to see whether she has actually sold any.

mustrunmore · 05/09/2008 14:51

Well, theres no feedback for anything knitted on the 6 most recent pages (yes, I was sad enough to look!)

And the socks listed as 12-13yrs in the title then say aged 3-4 in the description

And is 'bron' a typo, or is it some flashy type of jumper I dont know of?!

cremolafoam · 05/09/2008 14:51

is that for 1 or a pair
do you get the whole batch of 14?
can you get them in better colours or are we stuck with cat sick jaune?

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 14:51

There is no way that that baby hat is handknitted. It looks like cotton from the picture. This has got to be a scam of some kind.

cremolafoam · 05/09/2008 15:00

look she has actually knitted some and then she must've got bored and gone to poundstretcher for the yellow ones

mustrunmore · 05/09/2008 15:05

Come on, I just wanna know which mnetter listed all this for a laugh? And why on earth do it? There's no way this is for real.

southeastastra · 05/09/2008 15:44

it's really strange, maybe she meant 98p!

must have cost pounds to list them

SparklyFairy · 05/09/2008 18:53

She must know something we don't! Like anyone would spend £98 on a sock!

Flibbertyjibbet · 05/09/2008 19:04

How bizarre.
Sometimes when I see things like that I wonder if the item is some kind of code so you get in touch with seller for something else thats dodgy.

I was once searching for shoes and came across someone selling some shoes for a huge amount buy it now. 'well worn shoes' and some VERY dodgy pics of the shoes being worn on feet - the persons legs were at, lets say unusual angles....

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 19:04

but £5.55 for the postage as well that is taking the piss, whether the listing price is wrong or not!
