Got a double buugy this morning, in good condition, am happy with it, did say in ad that there were a few marks which I am OK with, probably get them out.
There a slight tear which I am also OK with.

but the raincover is stained.

I hadn't realised as i just took the buggy out, checked it over and left + feedback.

Ive tried to wash it but its stuck fast.

Am not happy using it at all.

Should I try and get soem money back to but a new raincover?

What sort of stain? Unless the listing stated as new I wouldn't dispute it.

like big yellow stains all over it,

see through,

im not sure what it is.

Would be VERY obvious when on the buggy.

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:13

BUt if i do that, tell them, then they might just say no and take the funds out of paypal. Then Im stuck!

OP posts:

i think that happens with raincovers though doesn't it.

It sounds similar to the ones on mine. I presume from having it folded when wet or something.

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:17

no, ive taken somepictures... ill post them in a min...

im a buggyholic, had over 200 buggies and non of my raincovers have EVER looked like this ...

My DH was supposed to be watching the lids whilst I was having a few minutes to myself,

I come downnstairs an hes asleep on the couch and the lids have covered the living room in vaseline

mostly all over the new raincover for my powertwin.

its caked in it

any ideas?

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:24

lol no not vaseline

ill show you in a minute
the vasleime is clear and been washed off...

ill show you what it is when i upload the photos

DH says it loos like glue!?

But i assume glue wouldn't dry flat iykwim.

You will see its not vaseline in a second ...

i only really noticed how bad the stains were when i was washing it in the white bath to get the vaseline off!

I hadn't put it on the buggy yet so didnt see just how yellow they were ...

No worries .. I can see why you would think though!

I'd contact seller. What sort of paypal protection was there on the listing? If it has full buyer protection you will be guarantedd a refund of the 30 whether she removes the funds or not - what's more if you raise dispute I believe the funds are frozen anyway, so unless you warn her in advance she won't be able to access that money.

NurkMagiggy · 01/05/2008 12:27

Can u linky to the listing?

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:28

see not vaseline! lol

and another

its everywhere

Any idea what it is?!

OP posts:
NurkMagiggy · 01/05/2008 12:30

Yes see what you mean. If you can put the item # we'll have a look and see whether we think you'd get away with a dispute...if she doesn't specify much you might not.

Is she ok, I mean do you think if you approached her first she'd be up for a small refund?

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:31

here is the listing

It does say there are some marks on the BUGGY, which it does have, but i was told about that so fair enough.

But it just says 'inludes raincover and pump' no mention of the stains on it.

OP posts:
Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:32

it also says this at the bottom ...

we are happy to answer any questions put to us and in the event of any problems we would resolve without any hassle to the buyer

OP posts:
NurkMagiggy · 01/05/2008 12:33

'not really noticeable' hmm well I think they are!!
Give it a try. ~It should have been mentioned. Good luck!

ps have had about 55 myself

NurkMagiggy · 01/05/2008 12:35

Yes deffo contact them direct. Sounds like a good buyer who just didn't bother to check the cover (maybe selling for someone else etc)
I always say 'I'm sure you didn't notice so no hard feelings.'

NurkMagiggy · 01/05/2008 12:35

sorry seller, not buyer!

Disenchanted · 01/05/2008 12:39

Thanks, hopefully I will get a new raincover, I really wouldn't go out with that all over the buggy!

Yes but the disute can just be closed today if they agree to something. It doesn't show up on ebay or anything.

Im just covering my back by freezing the funds incase they doon't want to help ... then it will be down to paypal.
