Well I have made £99 over the past couplf of weeks, one thing sold for £68 though. Am going to list some more, have some children's book that are brand new I will be lsiting, have sold a couple of them already, and have some other things to sell. I just think that not much is selling at the minute

FrightAttendant · 08/10/2007 09:32

Have just sold my mutsy and my double Alurax and my navetta...it's such a good week! So I have £287 in paypal, hee hee.

Excuse me for being really really smug but usually I never sell anything so am dancing around in utter glee!!!

sweetheart · 08/10/2007 09:32

I made £128 yesterday on 4 auctions ending - although I have already had an e-mail about one item saying his account was hacked into - I am a bit sceptical as he is a new user and only has 1 feedback.

Plus I have had real problems with dishonest people on ebay recently and now the postal strikes are causing total cock up's too!

I listed lots more stuff yesterday so hopefully it will all do well!

saltire · 08/10/2007 09:36

I emailed everyone who had bought something from me since Wednesday and said that I wouldn't be posting them until Thursday fo this week, and to expect delays, due to the high volume of post being sorted and delivered after the strike

Will list my other books and some more items this afternoon

TheQueenOfQuotes · 08/10/2007 09:38

hmmm I might join you - could do with some extra cash (not just for Christmas LOL).

Riddo · 08/10/2007 09:50

I made £60 last month but have already spent most of it on craft materials. I should transfer it out of paypal immediately. Also in a weak moment I promised dd a percentage if anything of hers sold. Here are the latest things if you fancy a look search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZrachel1441

spooklesandwhine · 08/10/2007 10:15

sixlostmonkeys · 09/10/2007 16:34

I'll join in this time if I may

I only hope and pray I can make some money soon - I'm dreading Christmas

here's mine

charliecat · 09/10/2007 16:36

Ive just noticed an announcement about toys and games selling fees being reduced but the FV is going up to 8.2% Just so you know!

laura032004 · 09/10/2007 17:45

For everything?

laura032004 · 09/10/2007 17:47

No - thank goodness! Probably six and two threes with small value items?

We are pleased to announce that between 23rd October and 31st December 2007 inclusive in the Photography and Toys & Games categories, the Gallery listing upgrade feature will be free and Insertion Fees will be reduced. For example, a listing with a Gallery photo starting at 99p will now only cost 5p compared to 30p normally, a massive saving of 25p per listing. Final Value Fees will be increased, but you only pay these if your item sells.

ninedragons · 10/10/2007 02:17

I will join you when I have found my camera. I have a few bits and pieces to sell but no idea where the camera has gone.

There was a scary story in Observer Money this past weekend about some poor man getting stitched over an eBay sale. He sold a camera, but Paypal took the money out of his account because the sale had been reported as a fraudulent use. He wasn't covered by buyer/seller protection because he'd handed over the goods in person, so please everyone use trackable delivery for expensive items.

Ripped off

laura032004 · 10/10/2007 06:13

Ninedragons - could you start off with things which don't need a picture you've taken yourself? I often use Amazon pictures for games/CD's/books etc.

ninedragons · 10/10/2007 10:22

Good suggestion, but unfortunately it's a few bits of antique jewellery and a model train. I have tonnes of books I'd love to get rid of but I'm overseas so the postage isn't worth it.

I needed a prompt to get me off my bum and cleaning up, anyway!

laura032004 · 10/10/2007 10:49

Whereabouts are you

ninedragons · 10/10/2007 11:16

Shanghai. So if you're in the region and need a whole load of pregnancy books that I bought before I realised that if I wanted to scare myself to death I should just rent Friday 13th and be done with it, swing by.

spooklesandwhine · 10/10/2007 12:29

Is it just me or is selling slow on ebay at the mo?

How's everyone else doing? I usually have a fair bit of interest on things but not too much at the mo

Riddo · 10/10/2007 13:21

No one seems to be interested in my stuff - last year I left the listing of potential christmas presents too late and this year I think I'm too early.

laura032004 · 10/10/2007 13:26

I haven't really been listing potential Christmas presents, so not sure really. Some things which I would have thought would be snapped up (I have certainly looked for them in the past), haven't gone though (I do BIN and auction together sometimes).

hattiejacques · 10/10/2007 13:30

I've got some stuff to sell but I'm dreadfully thick when it comes to technical stuff and don't know how to go about selling on ebay. Is it straightforward?
