Hi.
I brought a bookk of a person on ebay (i think it may even be a shop) and it clearly stated no price clipped or pen pencil marks. When it arrived it has lots of writing in like refrences it didnt matter too much but thought it was wrongly advertising so put nuturel feed back saying good item but marks in it when stated not. They have now left me negative feedback with somw rather vulagar things and saying i shouldnt be trusted etc.. and also sent me a message about something im selling saying 'im bidding and im going to come and collect them - see you soon my friend'which I dont know whether is supposed to be menacing, they are also bidding on 2 other things.
Ive emailed ebay telling them all this and that I want them removed and never want that person to contact or bid again but they sent an automated response which was nothing to do with it.
I dont know what to do im so upset I had 100% positive feedback before this and now anyone seeing that is not going to trust me again!

Firstly

Cancel their bids and block the as bidders.

Then contact ebay to have the neg removed.

Then report them to ebay for threatening you

Wotz · 01/06/2007 16:29

You can block unwanted bidders, someone will post a link, if not ill come back and do it.

sugar34plum · 01/06/2007 16:30

i have had similar but no threats! Some people are just plain idiots.Do they live close? Could you print it all out and report to the police just incase?

CrispyNoodles · 01/06/2007 16:33

Block them as bidders and remove their bids from your auctions.
Leave follow-up feedback to theirs, commenting how they have sent threatening emails, and you have reported them to ebay.
Don't reply to their emails.
I doubt eBay will remove their feedback, but it might be worth trying.
Ignore this other eBayer completely from now on.

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/06/2007 16:39

Can someone please tell me which bit you go on to block them?
They will have to remove the feedback because it has offensive and rude things (im not going to put what) Im just waiting and hopefully ebay will get back to me properly soon.
Thanks for your advice i just cant believe it im half hoping its kids on her computer r something and she will see it and apologise I just cant believe anyone would be so horrible

sixlostmonkeys · 01/06/2007 16:40

report threatening messages to ebay.

if feedback contains vulgar words ebay will remove if you ask

and do as the others say - cancel their bids and add to blocked bidders list - immediately

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/06/2007 17:53

Thanks sixlostmonkeys ive cancelled the bids and blocked them.

sixlostmonkeys · 02/06/2007 11:46

I've just seen the FB

I send you hugs.

keep contacting ebay and try that statutary (sp?) thingie to get it removed

kittypants · 02/06/2007 11:52

alfiejacksmummy, thats awful.keep reporting to ebay untill they do something.how awful!can you tell us name of seller or would you rather not?because id be just as scared and upset as you,so would want to avoid this seller

AlfieJacksmummy · 02/06/2007 12:07

No im happy to tell everyone not to go to them it is 'natedoggbooks'.
Ok the latest is ebay sent me 3 messages saying they wont remove it. I then started a post on Q&A board and there were so many responses someone started a discussion (which has now been removed) ebay are quick enough to remove that because of naming the offending ebayer but not my awful comment!
Anyway ive just had another message saying natedoogbooks has asked for mutul withdrawl because 'someone was messing with the computer' which is rubbish because if you look aback there are more comments (never as bad tho) and withdrawl means the response will stay on there but not count - well i dont think its good enough ive had people retract bids and stuff since!
My name on ebay is liananath if people want to have a look because im not going to say what he put on here.

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 02/06/2007 12:10

no - dont accept withdrawal - as you say the comment stays.

try that other option that was suggested on the boards.

keep at ebay - annoyingly it's all automated but if you keep trying you might get a real person.

have you tried live help?

fireflyfairy2 · 02/06/2007 12:13

I have just read your feedback!

How the hell can ebay Not remove this comment??

Where can I message ebay? This is awful!

It needs to be removed, it's not fair!

Greensleeves · 02/06/2007 12:15

God, how scary for you

I hope you manage to block them. I don't know much about ebay but obviously lots of people here do.

kittypants · 02/06/2007 12:16

omg!thats foul!i cant belive ebay are leaving it there!how horrible for you!im shocked and angry for you!thankyou for putting the id as i wont be buying/selling with this ebayer!

scatterbrain · 02/06/2007 12:16

Me too - that is disgusting ! Couldn't see anything similar that he's left before - worst was calling another buyer "tripe" which is odd but not as bad !

Definitely pursue this with ebay ! I will email them too and say I found it offensive !

And - ignore - rise above it !! he is a complete tosser and you did not deserve it - he must be insane !

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2007 12:19

How nasty I hope you don't mind but I went and had a nose at his feedback - put it into feedback tool so it just shows the negatives he has received and his replies to them - he obviously has a screw loose and rants and raves when he receives bad feedback:

scary feedback replies

I must say the comment he left you is one of the worst I have ever seen in many years on eBay! Persist until they remove it, it's completely unacceptable

MellowMa · 02/06/2007 12:27

Message withdrawn

kittypants · 02/06/2007 12:30

f and z!thats shocking!how do you block a seller?

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2007 12:33

Well, if you want to make sure you don't bid on any of their auctions, I think you just have to keep a note and stop yourself in that way

but if you want to stop a certain user bidding on your stuff, you can follow the links here

fireflyfairy2 · 02/06/2007 12:40

Look at those feedback comments. Goodness me this seller is a nasty piece of work!

Why doesn't ebay see this?

kittypants · 02/06/2007 12:44

can we all complain although its nothing to do with us?or is that not allowed?im so disgusted at the feedback left for alfiejacksmummy!

AlfieJacksmummy · 02/06/2007 13:25

Hi again! Good news it has been removed!!!
I spoke to live help but they couldnt help but then ebay messaged saying it had gone. You can block a seller completley sixlostmonkeys put a link at the beginning of the thread. I have asked the person to still be removed as they could do it again. Oh yeah and would just like to say, you have all been putting he but it is actually a woman!!!

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2007 14:31

Blimey I am really shocked it is a woman (sorry chaps but I am)

SLM's link was the link to block bidder's on your auctions

if you want to block yourself from bidding on a dodgy seller's auctions, I believe you have to just remember it yourself

so glad it is now gone!

pucca · 02/06/2007 14:45

OMG!!! @ the porn comment, but did have a chuckle too

At least your feedback has been removed AJM, ebay are normally very slow at doing this type of thing.
