The really weird thing is that there will be people who will actively SEARCH for well worn shoes......

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 04/12/2006 10:21

Ebay rules don't allow you to sell used underwear. I'd report it.

DumbledoresGirl · 04/12/2006 12:31

I have accepted second hand underwear for my children (never had to buy it but only because I have been lucky enough to be offered it).

Haven't you girls got a washing machine? Quick wash (hot) and there you go.

PinkTinsel · 04/12/2006 12:35

can't be worse than secondhand nappies and they go for goodmoney, have some myself!

like DG i'd happily take secondhand undies if i could, costs a bomb to buy new!

Nemoinapeartree · 04/12/2006 12:39

have seen used toddler underpants before and think it is disgusting. Those shoes are bad and would only go in the charity recyling box not on ebay!!!

Nemoinapeartree · 04/12/2006 12:40

Pt arent the nappies different though a bit as you use liners with them whether fleece or paper..and surely you would buy them new??

DumbledoresGirl · 04/12/2006 12:44

But Nemo, nappies are deliberately pooed in. pants aren't.

tissy · 04/12/2006 12:46

I've passed on (but not sold) toddler underpants before- you can get through loads when potty training. Nothing goes into a pair of pants that a good hot wash won't cure!

PinkTinsel · 04/12/2006 12:48

the liners don't catch much, especially with newborns and toddlers! and the pee still gets soaked in!

and what i meant was i'd certainly not say no to someone giving me a load of secondhand undies for dd as i hate having to pay for them new, hasn't come up yet though as she's in nappies still. having to buy her vests at the moment though and am at how much they cost

Nemoinapeartree · 04/12/2006 12:51

maybe I have been lucky with my liners/nappies then..lol I think I just dont like the idea of used underwear..if someone offered it to me I wouldnt take it so wouldnt in regards to the kids either..maybe thats why we are poor..lol

poppiesinalinewithtinsel · 04/12/2006 12:55

I have accepted and passed on toddler pants. You can go through hundreds when potty training. Wouldnt buy second hand though.

sunnywong · 04/12/2006 12:56

slight hijack while you ebay experts are around

someone just told me I could pick up, and that's me going round there to pick it up, for $18.00

is that or is that not taking the piss?

DumbledoresGirl · 04/12/2006 12:58

Pick up what?

sunnywong · 04/12/2006 12:58

a plastic train set

I mean is it not outlandish to charge for a pick up
does that not just mean they are money grabbing arses?

MrsBadger · 04/12/2006 13:01

if you pick up they should waive the postage charge (though I guess they might still charge for packaging if it was boxed ready to post before you offered to collect it)

Nemoinapeartree · 04/12/2006 13:01

they dont usually charge for you to go and pick up..or I have never had that anyway not like they are out of pocket..if anything its easier
