check they typed it in right. pickup should be free (but easy to charge by mistake).

I put trainer pants on ebay- they went for a bomb- was stunned. Nappies too.

Those shoes are grim though.

Carmenere · 04/12/2006 13:05

Maybe they are solicitors and are charging for the time it takes to open the door

DumbledoresGirl · 04/12/2006 13:06

Jimjams what are trainer pants?

sunnywong · 04/12/2006 13:07

the bloke has just emailed me again with his phone number sayingI can come and pick it up and have it for $18. He's re-listing it as it didn't sell before for only 99cents

I think I'll pass

Jimjams2 · 04/12/2006 13:08

You know- slightly thicker pants- supposed to be a cross between a nappy and normal pants (although I think they're useless).

Ds1's incontinence pants sold well as well (although that I can understand as they're about 8 or 9 quid each new).

LadyOfThePoinsettias · 04/12/2006 13:08

oops! i have bought used cloth nappies from mumsnet and ebay as i cant afford to keep buying disps and cant afford new cloth either.
although you are not supposed to with all brands, i wash used ones on a 95er the first time. doesn't do them any harm the once.
even on the cloth nappy websites, you can get a score for their second and value.

Jimjams2 · 04/12/2006 13:09

He sounds an arse Suzy

Jimjams2 · 04/12/2006 13:10

Lady- sell them on at the end as well. I've sold heavily used (3 babies) cloth nappies (described as such - dh read the description and said "no-one will buy that"- they snapped them up!) on ebay. Chucked in a few freebies I found before posting as well.

Bananaknickers · 04/12/2006 13:11

Bozza · 04/12/2006 13:13

I wouldn't sell pants but have given DS's to my sister for when she was potty training my nephew. And both my children have lent/borrowed pants off my friend's DCs when required, eg when DS ended up sleeping over there unexpectedly when DD was in hospital, or when DD's friend had an accident here etc.

Bozza · 04/12/2006 13:15

You would have thought she would have wiped the wellies before putting them on Ebay. Am quite at that.

PinkTinsel · 04/12/2006 13:16

3 bids! you could buy new primark wellies for cheaper!

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 04/12/2006 13:17

God, you can buy new wellies in Lidl for £2.99 and they want £5.00 postage fgs.

Wellie woman uses the phrase 'well worn' an awful lot, she is almost definitely aiming at the shoe perv brigade rather than anyone who actually NEEDS a pair of wellies

LadyOfThePoinsettias · 04/12/2006 13:25

fair play i say. things are really tight at the mo so i may well dig out all my old shoes to sell! lol

Bananaknickers · 04/12/2006 13:26

PinkTinsel · 04/12/2006 13:26

Bananaknickers · 04/12/2006 13:28

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 04/12/2006 13:30

I'm sure dh has a few old smelly pairs of trainers hanging around in the garage. I could pass them off as gardening shoes/dog walking shoes. Ooh the possibilities are endless.

rofl bananaknickers. I think they like the shoes the smellier the better

I saw an auction once for a pair of 'well used nurses shoes'. Very ugly, very sensible and in a right old state - the innersoles were all ripped and shiny from footsweat, the leather was all scuffed and crushed a bit out of shape and the soles had fag ends and chewing gum on them. The seller went into great detail about their use and they sold for something really ridiculius like £40 . They were really nasty ShoeZone type shoes too, prob cost her £15 brand new.

I love weirdy auctions

AlgernonGetYerTubaOut · 04/12/2006 13:31

ridiculous - sorry my spelling is up the chute today

LadyOfThePoinsettias · 04/12/2006 13:33

i have apair of vintage style ballet pump things in a brown paisley like design.
the sole has gone right through to a hole and they really stink! wore them all through my 2nd preg- selling point!! lol

FiveGoldenFIMBOs · 04/12/2006 13:34

Look At These Beauties and someone has bid on them!!

OP posts:
AlgernonGetYerTubaOut · 04/12/2006 13:34

Lady - you'd get all the preggo folk and the shoe perv folk. Lol

AlgernonGetYerTubaOut · 04/12/2006 13:36

Fimbo, the bidder on that auction is a shoe afficionado (sp). These were a recent purchase
