Hi everyone!
Fist of all i would like to thank you all for your support. It has been overwhelming, and I can honestly say that even though I don't actually know any of you, your words have played in my mind and helped me through this. I am so grateful to you all :)
Sadly i have to report that the hearing was a complete shambles.
The judge didn't have the papers I had submitted - so it seems my files have been lost for a third time now by the courts.
Included in my papers was a printout of an ebay help page that states "the buyer is responsible for the return postage". I offered the judge my copy of this: he read it but announced he didn't agree with it because his friends had told him that it is the seller who should pay.
It went downhill from here.
Fruitloop and Smith were allowed to rant and rave about well, anything really. They ranted about things totally unrelated, they came out with some jaw dropping lies. Did you know that I phoned everyone in Lancashire with her surname asking to speak to Fruitloop? Hmm neither did I. I even had to listen to the details of the 3 murders in Preston. I'm only surprised the judge didn't actually find me guilty of these murders.
I remained calm and only spoke when asked to by the judge. Even then they would shout over me and at one stage I had to stop and explain I couldn't hear myself think. The judge's reply "yes you all need to stop talking at once"
The judge didn't understand ebay at all, he didn't seem to understand the postal system. He accused me of being unreasonable for following ebay's advice. He told me I should have claimed from Royal Mail (eh?) In his summary he even told me I shouldn't have brought this to court!
So he said I have to pay them the £13.60 (sorry i lied about it being £15 but I didn't want it searchable) plus court costs of £35. he asked how I would be paying. I told him I wouldn't be paying. He asked why. I explained about my financial situation. Smith them boomed about how much money I had spent in March when I listed 68 items and he gave a breakdown of how much I would have paid to list these items (proving I had money) Yeah, that would have been free listing day....
Smith ranted on about how he 'knew' I had money and about how dangerous I was. The judge them that none it was do do with him so they would need to take it up elsewhere. "Oh they will" - they replied. Oh they will.......
So, it would seem that this is just the beginning.....
