I'm getting back into my eBaying, massive clear outs will keep me busy over this free listings weekend, wondered if anyone wanted to join me in making Christmas as cheap as possible and having the good people of eBay pay for most of it!

You have to make sure you remove any existing "starting price" before you can put anything in the "fixed price" tab!

COCKadoodledooo · 17/11/2012 20:37

No BIN no *bluecarrot. Have just checked and it looks like it's the extra photos that have done for me. Never mind, when I list the rest I'll just put one on!

lljkk · 17/11/2012 21:03

The way I did was click the Fixed Price tab above the price-section. Then you get a single box for the fixed price. set the price and set auction length to 30 days.

I got 83 up tonite (almost all 30 day BIN) & another 19 to list tomorrow.

bluecarrot · 17/11/2012 21:15

you can add extra pics in the description part...

lljkk · 17/11/2012 21:29

I sometimes put huge blow up pix on our website & then link to them from the description. Bit Techie, though.

LineRunner · 17/11/2012 21:30

Thank you everyone!!

Bongaloo · 17/11/2012 21:39

Campervan roofrack gone and I've flippin' done it!
just over £300 profit by xmas
Grin I can't believe it. So glad I joined on to this.
Got a few more bits to plod along with, although finding the time is harder now.
I'm going to look at that 30 day BIN thing too.

lljkk · 17/11/2012 22:16

Crikey, one of my BIN listed this evening went after less than 2 hours. Was listed for 10 days before that, too (no bids).

DorisIsWaiting · 17/11/2012 22:55

For those looking for a courrier I used these to get a travel system with a full pram part from Plymouth to London for £20 (it had to go in 2 boxes it was so big and they still charged the set price).

I am going to tell the buyer to either collect or I'll refund (they paid already Hmm).

fergoose · 17/11/2012 22:59

you will need to refund and ask them to bring cash if they are collecting, never take paypal for collection items

Tortoise · 17/11/2012 23:10

I managed to list 18 items tonight here
I've done a few BINs but for 7 days mainly, just in case there's another FLW next week! 30 days for toys/xmas items takes me too close to xmas if they don't sell for that price.
Got more ready to list but the last 2, i was planning to schedule but forgot to schedule them! Too tired to concentrate i think!

LineRunner · 18/11/2012 00:03

Well done, Tortoise. I love the girl's Monsoon dress.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/11/2012 00:52

Tortoise - you can always revise the listing and reduce your fixed price if it's not selling.

I love the 'Fixed Price' option - especially on FLW! Extra photos are considerably more expensive though (not sure if that's the case when it's FL).

I have listed my Ds' Nintendo DSi and a couple of games. Tomorrow morning will be spent listing the Wii and all the accessories...I've been going through cupboards retrieving all the boxes and ended up finding a whole load of other stuff that's been waiting a couple of years to be listed.

My friend now has a big bag of stuff to list for me and i've got another one to take to her in a couple of days!

My enthusiasm for eBay is returning a little Smile. Hopefully, this lots will sell well!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/11/2012 01:17

Yay! One item sold already!!

PurpleFrog · 18/11/2012 09:20

You can use Photobucket to put extra pictures in the description. Easy to use and doesn't cost anything!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/11/2012 12:33

Here are my listings for today!

DS wants to change his Wii for a PS3 so it's all going. Can't face doing the PS2 now so will do it later.

lljkk · 18/11/2012 14:48

Oh Boohoo, I've booked a courier collection tomorrow & now the printer is acting up. Utterly reliable in last few months until this moment. NO idea what's wrong and Tech DH is away until this evening. SOB .

LineRunner · 18/11/2012 15:12

Hiccup, that Wii listing is great. (Haven't looked at the others yet. I went straight to that one because I have one to sell, too.)

Hope it gets snapped up.

I'm afraid my console-related listings have ground to a halt today because I just lost my temper with DS over his total lack of awareness help. Everything is covered in dust and flakes of chocolate and I am sick of cleaning his stuff that he should be looking after.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/11/2012 15:29

Lljkk - can you pay to get the courier to bring the labels? The one I use charges an extra £1 for this option.

LineRunner - thanks!! I was worried I'd priced it too high. I spent absolutely ages trying to get everything back in the correct boxes but it's done now and ready to be snapped up! I might add a bit on at the end of the description offering a discount if it's collected in person. Oh and we have lots of dust here too Blush.

Skylanders sold and paid for already!

lljkk · 18/11/2012 15:35

Good idea. Sadly I stupidly booked it all before realising the printer was having a 'Mare day. I dunno if I could get that option retrospectively, would officially make my postage more than I charged, too (sigh).

I think I can go get label printed out at public library tomorrow, if I have to.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 18/11/2012 18:54

Am I being dim again? I can't see how to do the 30 day fixed price listings.

LineRunner · 18/11/2012 19:18

I've been struggling with the listings, too. I can get a fixed price OR an auction, not both, is that right?

lljkk · 18/11/2012 19:49

WELL,
you had to click fixed price option & then a fixed price was the only option (only starting price box left to fill), to get the FL for 30 days BIN.

But 20 minutes ago suddenly I can't do it either! I cannot select fixed price vs. auction, only option is auction. And I haven't reached 100 listings either.

weird, I was coming on here to see if there was some trick. Maybe Ebay has pulled that part of the FL early.

At least my printer started behaving (all DH had to do was wag a finger at it Confused).

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/11/2012 19:59

Not sure about the fixed listing problems...I'll go and try a bit later but yes, you can either have auction or fixed price. You can do auction with a BIN but as soon as a bid is placed the BIN disappears unless you have a reserve price added aswell, in which case the BIN price remains until the reserve price is met.

I have sold 4 fixed price items since last night! DS is so thrilled (it's all his stuff) because his PS3 fund is already at £85 and the first listings only went on last night!!

dizzyday07 · 18/11/2012 20:36

I stuck a couple of random BIN's on last night and already had a buyer! It was a suit DH brought back from India that DD has never worn
