Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

That's great Dino thank you. I hunted and hunted but couldn't find it. My only problem now is that I can't figure out how to do a scheduled listing (I did say I was baffled by ebay) I assume it is easy and I am just being stupid again. Can anyone enlighten me?

Carrotsandcelery · 26/09/2011 16:25

I am so stupid. It's ok. I just realised it was right there infront of my eyes. Blush

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 26/09/2011 16:25

It's in the section "Choose how you'd like to sell your item" underneath the number of days duration - you may need to add it as an option if you don't see it.

Glad you found it :)

Thanks anyway Dino - that is a great trick. It also explains how people do it when you look at their other items for sale and they have them listed 1 minute after each other. I thought I was just hugely slow, which I clearly am, but not in that sense.

LaWeasel · 26/09/2011 19:14

Hi everyone, thread managed to fall of threads I'm on again.

Update on my endless Wii saga, we refunded + return postage as a seperate transaction. For some bizzarre reason buyer hasn't 'accepted' the return postage payment, and is also not confirming to eBay that we refunded so we can have our selling fees back (since it sold at a high price it's a good £18 for that transaction) They aren't responding to (polite) prompt emails either.

Spectacularly fed up.

oopslateagain · 26/09/2011 19:17

I am constantly amazed at how things sell. I had a pair of boots listed that didn't sell the first time, not even a watcher, and they just sold for £27! But I've had to contact the buyer because they have been damaged since I listed them so I need to see if she still wants them Sad.

Still chuffed at the amount I've made so far! Grin

LaWeasel if the buyer doesn't have a paypal seller account they won't be set up to receive payments and will have to accept your payment from the email you sent them and upgrade their paypal account.

LaWeasel · 26/09/2011 20:57

Ahh... that's probably it. 'cos it is a paypal account, it's the one they paid with but not a seller one would make sense. Time for another polite email...

fergoose · 26/09/2011 21:14

cancel the payment and send them cheque or postal order

cancelling the transaction - can you close it yet? Sometimes that is enough to get your fees back

LaWeasel · 26/09/2011 21:20

DH just suggested that, does seem easier - I don't know if they'd have to pay to upgrade their paypal.

We're trying to close the case but they won't press whatever button they have to for that to go through and haven't given us any explanation why.

fergoose · 26/09/2011 21:26

After a certain time I think you can close the case.

They don't have to pay to upgrade their paypal, but will pay to receive the payment.

I would cancel the payment and send them a cheque.

LaWeasel · 26/09/2011 21:31

Aha, yes I see it now. We can close it tomorrow apparently, will cancel the payment and send a cheque tomorrow too...

hopefully everything will finally be dealt with and we can resell the bloomin' thing!

LaWeasel · 26/09/2011 21:32

Thanks again for help!

fergoose · 26/09/2011 21:35

:)

Tortoise · 26/09/2011 23:01

Ive got two non payers. Have opened non payment case.
Will do some listing tomorrow.
My local charity shop had a stock clearance Saturday and today was fill a bag for £1 to get rid of the last of the old stock. So I have a few items from that to list!

dizzyday07 · 27/09/2011 00:54

Have relisted some of DS's CDs and some age 5/6yr girls clothes (the rest in this size will go on tomorrow).

Tortoise · 27/09/2011 18:06

Photos taken. Now to list items (using scheduling trick!) ready to start tonight.

acsec · 27/09/2011 20:09

Just activated all my listings - also used Dinos scheduling trick.

Here are my listings

Seabright · 27/09/2011 21:13

Hello, another late joiner!
In the last month I've done really well and made £140.59 (some big items) gross and this thread has inspired me to list some more stuff.

I love reading how you are all doing and I love the scheduling trick! Any suggestions/ideas gratefully received!

Carrotsandcelery · 27/09/2011 21:16

I sold one item tonight, just for a few quid, but I have a bidding war going on for one of my dd's outgrown Boden tunic tops. I almost makes it worth paying crazy prices a little bit more for Boden when they sell so well. I hope it is not a one off and the other Boden things I have listed sell well as well. Fingers crossed!

acsec · 27/09/2011 21:18

I love seeing what people list. I have made about £160!! Amazing as all the stuff was just gathering dust in my house.

Thanks Dino was inspiring me!

Carrotsandcelery · 27/09/2011 21:23

acsec that does amaze me too - the majority of what I have sold so far was just clutter making me miserable. Now it is hard cash ready for Christmas and hopefully the item is making someone else happy now. Smile

Tortoise · 27/09/2011 22:18

Finished listing for tonight. Can't link as on phone. Will do it tomorrow.
Listed DS1s phone for him plus lots of puppets. Some I didn't really want to sell because they are so cute but no one plays with them so they have to go!
