I am free of the abusive bastarding bastard!

I can change my name back!

I am no longer anyone's wife!

Tonight it's wine and pizza and feeling free.

It's been a grueling time for me, these past few years, on top of Covid. This is a ray of sunshine for sure.

Just wanted to share! (want to scream it from the rooftops, really, but this will do!)

Mine came through in July last year, after more than 3 years. Even though I'd been living my best life on my own it was still such a great feeling to officially be FREE.

Congratulations!!! Must be such a good feeling. I remember when I used to feel a bit sorry for people getting divorced. Now I'm nearly there I cannot wait to experience the freedom you describe.

I have been mentally divorced for years now, feels like. Glad it's over and done with for good. I think I would have felt a bit sorry for myself 10 years ago, but time changes a person.

How does it feel now? Has it settled in more? Have you noticed any difference in relations with your ex?
I'm hoping it will get rid of some of the animosity and make coparenting easier.
We might even revert to ''friendly"ish terms.
