Combating the "rocket poo" phenomenon

Hello fellow parents!

A few days ago I experienced my first rocket poo, i.e a poonami during a nappy change. Here's the original thread: www.mumsnet.com/talk/dadsnet/4746459-rocket-poo

Having just experienced it on a couple more occasions since then... I wanted to ask do what do you do for "protection"? There's no way to guess that THE storm, is coming.

Make sure there's nothing that's not really wipeable below(in your entire house), and certainly don't crouch in that area. Also don't rush to change straight away, give it a few minutes to let it all finish.
It should settle down over time. Good luck!

My DD is a first time Mum. Grandson is now pushing 2 and on solids but the word poonami was used when he was being fed from a bottle. More so when he was prescribed some high calorie formula as he was way below 'normal' weight for age in first few months.

I can remember poo all the way up the inside of DD's babygrow 30 years ago...
