Hello fellow dads,

My wife and I were blessed with a baby girl recently. I was doing some nappy changing and a very "aggressive poo" happened (see photo).

My wife said that something like this happened a couple of weeks ago but, I just laughed it away. The baby is absolutely fine... she just continued turning her head side to side, gaga-guguing away.

Has anyone else faced this? If yes, is this normal and does it happen a lot?

Not a dad, but had to read 🤣

Yes, yes this happens. Wait til she pees as you're changing her, but farts part way through.

Also not a dad but welcome to the 'poonami'. You will become well acquainted with these 🤣 Babies also have an amazing ability to poo out of the nappy and up their backs.
It's such a magical time

Hah, DS did this just as my mum walked past the end of the change table once. 11 years later and it still makes me chuckle

Actually one (and possibly the only) practical advantage of cloth nappies is that the outer part that the cloth sits in has some quite strong elastic that stopped all incidences of poo up the back. I guess some sort of belt-type thing could also address this.
