My son has lived with me with me for 10 years.

He seems ok, I can't see me living with another adult again.

I am raising two kids alone (boy 1 and girl 5). I wouldn't want to live with another adult too. Raising the kids is job number one, we are happy and I wouldn't want anyone to come in an affect that dynamic. But I can agree long term. I am 32 and planed to spend my life with my ex wife. I was planning and looking forward to things we would do once the kids had grown up. I will be in my early 50s when the kids become adults and for me once they are grown ups I would love to find someone to share my world with. Someone to grow old with.

But nothing wrong with being alone. We are all different.

Dadnest doesn't get much traffic.

But I'll stay single forever, well as long as the kids are youngish.

What does MGTOW mean?

Hmm.. NRP with now 16 yo dd. As VoD says, she came first and now she wishes little to do with neither me nor her mother. But in healthy developmental way.

So this evening I am going for a coffee in the city centre with a lovely woman, of sexually active years who isn't related to me. first date in years.

Thanks VoD. It will probs feel really odd. But said woman knows all about dd, and it was she who asked me out. So the plan so far is "just don't fuck it up."

Chaps I can report it was fuck up free. For about 3 hours we didn't stop talking. And texted afterwards how great it was.
Yes looking years down a line re romance and a life when the little ones are bigger, it will be there for you. Scant evidence as it were from one date but remain optimistic if you wish. I will.

And it didn't feel odd at all.

Works for me, living alone, does not mean no Women though. They come and go so I am not a typical MGTOW. It is an interesting life.

I am with you brothers (as a woman). I would never live with someone again (male or f/emale) other than the children. Life is much simpler without a live in partner.

Just a quick update to tentative date, on 14th October above :

And as a further update to 14th October last year....i got down on bended knee last weekend and proposed to the woman of sexually active years who isn't related to me......and she said 'Yes".
Marriage early next year.

It's A LOT more exciting than I thought it would be! The proposal involved me singing her fav love song and then reciting a poem and popping the question. Cue floods of tears and a yes somewhere in there.
