driver, I just bought the Bosch IXO cordless model and it is deffo fab.

Small and powerful, but with suitably impressive girth and a nice comfy grip. It should be useful in hard to get at places. £28 at B&Q. Lithium-ion battery (no memory effect) which is nice too.

There. A real, proper bloke conversation.

Bear, wmf, hd, dc - do any of you have this fine beast ?

actually, I must say that this makes me want to go & buy it... you might have a future in the advertising industry

hub2dee · 05/07/2006 22:54

You need it badly, nm, LOL.

It's much shorter than regular drivers so you can use it in more inaccessible places, and then handle is very comfy so you can really lean into it. It is small and light and very cool. I've been wanting to buy one for months !

Sorry, missed out several other MN-men, sdof3 for example and several others.

moondog · 05/07/2006 22:55

Why do you assume its only of interst to the chaps??
When it comes to in depth screwdriver knowhow,I am the queen.

fattiemumma · 05/07/2006 22:56

darn it,....thought you were imparting words of wisdom about how to find a no strings partner.

Nathanmum · 05/07/2006 22:57

I think dh might agree about inaccessible places too

hub2dee · 05/07/2006 23:06

Cariad, all the laydees just quivver their fans in this heat, doncha know. I was just wanting to do something useful in the men's room.

LOL nm. Get it for his next pressie. He will enjoy exploring those inaccessible spaces as this screwdriver has a little light which shines at the screwhead when you are drilling ! Woohoo !

8 out of 10 gynaes prefer it.

Sorry to disappoint, fm. I reckon if you buy one of these and put it on a windowsill in view of the street you will get a Big Strong Boy knocking on your door within minutes.

nice try hub
I wield the screwdrivers in this house whilst DH pretends to help
he'd probably come on here and start a thread about classical recordings. Or the Who, or Genesis

BearintheBigBlueHouse · 05/07/2006 23:07

nope - I have people to do that stuff for me

I'm pleased for you though

Flamesparrow · 05/07/2006 23:08

I choked on my wine @ the light on the end!!!

Drinkijng + threads about screwdrivers is really too much for my little brain to take

Nathanmum · 05/07/2006 23:08

SOLD!!!

Nathanmum · 05/07/2006 23:13

Especially as I just found out my stripper name (other thread) is Sugar Glitter-Ridge, maybe that light will come in handy...

Flamesparrow · 05/07/2006 23:18

Ooho now there's a good thread title MJC - "What would your DH talk about if he came on?".... Mine would be World of Warcraft or 360 related tpoics....

JellyNump · 07/07/2006 01:07

driver.

hub2dee · 07/07/2006 14:10

LOL. Has the aricle had any impact ? Do people want your auograph ?

OP posts:
JellyNump · 07/07/2006 14:12

Erm yes actually, sorry. Central heating is a lot easier than I thought it would be and you can buy the boiler and radiators all from B&Q and then get someone to fit it, much cheaper!!! All you have to do is work out how much BTU output you need from radiators in each room, upsizing for a bathroom and downsizing for a bedroom!!!

anorak · 07/07/2006 14:13

anorak's power tool collection:

Black & Decker drill
Bosch jig saw
Makita circular saw
table saw
Black & Decker sander
angle grinder
wallpaper steamer
2 tile cutters
planer

anorak · 07/07/2006 14:14

I used to have a heat gun but I never used it so I gave it to my mate who's a decorator.
