Also missing Gary et al. Have I mentioned how much I love Gary ? We splashed out for the first time this year and got Eurosport, but I would quite happily strangle Carlton Kirby if he came within range.

I love Gary and Chris and hate when GTs aren't covered by ITV4 as well.

Am seeing Vuelta getting a bit panned on twitter, for being rather boring this year......are people just a bit bike tired after tour and Olympics?

I've slipped down to 9th - but at least Carapaz has finally scored some points, so that's all my team members are now off the mark

I'm pleased with the new red jersey wearer. I selected Odd Christian Eiking when I got to the point of using the very scientific method of picking the rider with the most unusual name!

I used to often pick Christian Knees for the same reason... But Odd Christian even better!

I nearly picked Odd Christian then didn't, I used to have Christian Knees too.

Someone (can't remember) did very well in the Giro picking a rider called Taco.

Taco was one of Mr's food-based selections.

Ah hell, if I'd seen Odd Christian he'd have made my team on the Taco principle not really made me any points as my sole Trek-Segafredo team member. As it is I have Antonio Nibali so I feel like I've got good old Nibbles with me .

Have about caught up having been distracted by a film festival and the paralympics. Good to see my team finally in a respectable position!

I've dropped to 13th . I got gallus after my relative success in the Tour but have now reverted to my usual form

I wonder if this thread has been so much quieter than previous GTs because of the nature of the race or because it's not being covered by ITV4.

I’ve never played before, as is evident from my perpetual bottom place! I’m missing the ITV4 coverage, and even Ned & David’s podcast hasn’t been overly invested in the Vuelta.

@BearPear I have entered loads of times and always come last or near as damn it! I have no idea how it works

I've entered a ragtag team. Discovered that one of the boys that ds used to race with, Alfie George, is racing . A really lovely young lad - but absolutely determined once he's on his bike in race mode.

So I've splashed out on quite a few "high tariff riders" and then made up the difference with the "cheap" Great Britain riders who're really just there for the experience.

The Vuelta coverage has been rubbish, spoilt it for me that not on ITV 4.
Also I always find it more exciting if the favourite doesn't win easily. Having said that, last time I looked my team were doing OK!

Quest is doing Vuelta highlights, 7pm channel 12 (Freeview) or Ch69 (Quest + 1).

Will there be an MN league for ToB?

I have a ToB team now. I chose ToB riders 50% based on who I fancy, and 50% based on 'unusual' names.

I've had to change my Tour of Britain team: Alfie George has tested positive so he won't be starting - although he's somewhat as other PCR tests he took at the same time not sure why have come back ok
