I've never done one of these before so totally clueless, but I've signed up, and resisted asking the real World Tour DS that I know for advice!
It will be interesting to see how the few riders who have come straight from Le Tour will manage - thinking of Sagan in particular. Personally I think its a mistake and he would have been better off going for the Classics instead. He wasn't on great form in France, he will be tired and I don't think this parcours particularly suits him. There must be big money involved.
I'm really hoping Simon Yates can pull it off this time as I have been a fan for a long time. We met him at LaVuelta some years ago when he was virtually unknown . The Orica bus was thronged with Colombian fans waiting for a glimpse of Esteban Chaves, and just me and my son asking for Simon - he seemed genuinely surprised and touched that he had fans. Its all a bit different now! Anyway, fingers crossed, though 3 ITTs is a bit of a worry and plays to the strengths of some of his main rivals.
