it was the most amazing evening.
incredibly moving and emotional
not many posh frocks though

I don't understand any of that because I am a pleb.

I'm glad you enjoyed it though

harpsichordcarrion · 29/10/2006 01:21

oh hunker, it's an opera and it was amazing
a very sad story though with a baby who gets drowned in a freezing river and doesn't make a sound

hunkermunker · 29/10/2006 01:22

Oh, God

That wailing for the sad story, not the opera, btw.

hunkermunker · 29/10/2006 01:23

Hey, come and do a name for Aitch.

harpsichordcarrion · 29/10/2006 01:25

there was redemption in the end, though.
Love Prevailed.

yes, of course. the man next to me was quite interested My Breasts, rather cheeringly. I think he said "Bravo" at them at one point.
then he gave them a standing ovation.
later, I hailed a taxi With My Breasts.

Glad to hear Your Breasts had a lovely time and were roundly admired, Harpsi.

I have been using With My Breasts in RL A Lot.

it was amaaaaaaaaaaaazing.
Amanda Roocroft was Jenufa and she was just so perfect.
I attempted to impress my neighbour by telling him I thought I had rarely heard her sound so good.
luckily he didnt ask me what else I had seen her in otherwise my bullshitting could have been exposed
the set was incredible.
I wore a black skirt with sequins a plain but rather elegant black top with a sequiny shrug.
I used all my tissues and my companions too...

(Oh it's just hunker, she's obsessed with my breasts)

I can really see how you could get hooked on the opera. I have just been on the website to see what I can see next and how I could possibly afford it .
it was just so intense....

Crotchety · 29/10/2006 20:22

Then there's the forthcoming Ring Cycle at the Millenium Centre . That's 4 days worth at about £750 for top price seats. Think it's sold out though.

expatinscotland · 29/10/2006 20:27

I think I may have to give that one a miss.

Bought tix for me and DD1 to go see 'The Singing Kettle' panto, tho .

harpsichordcarrion · 29/10/2006 20:29

ah no I have never really got the hang of Wagner.
it always reminds me of bad sex. lots and lots of foreplay and no climax.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 29/10/2006 20:30

Wagner reminds me of the lay of Percival, which HAD to be the boringest of all.

YYYyAAAAWWWWNNNN.
