Will be brief, daughter due to be sent down. Any one have a clue what to pack? Do we pack a bag? I've looked on line and it's a bit vague . Any help greatly appreciated.

Hoe she came home and you're now on your way to court

drinkswineoutofamug · 29/01/2018 09:24

I'm not going with her. Sod that. Done 25(?) court appearances with her in the past. This is a drug review from when she attacked me. She was gone and getting ready when I got up at 7am. Just found the letter , time is 2pm. She thinks 9am. She's an adult now, time to put her big girl pants on and deal with it herself. Probation have sent her an appointment today, at 2pm Hmmthey know she has court so how the hell....

Just heard from her. She represented herself.
Go back to court in 2 weeks
Go to see drug workers
Go to probation.

It is a constant round of anxiety isn't it? Really hard. She's an adult but there's always the doubt she will act like one. I know. So hard. 💐

🌷🌹

She might be an adult but we never stop worrying and caring

Sorry didn't mean the biscuit. Maybe you need one to dunk in a cuppa x

drinkswineoutofamug · 30/01/2018 10:22

She's just come home, given me a load of bullshit where she was last night. Must think I'm stupid when her (ex?) gf car is parked just hidden down the road. I ended up just walking away.

Shit. Just shit. Sending you a hand to hold 🤝

drinkswineoutofamug · 31/01/2018 21:58

She's been back today. She had to go to the doctors . Now on antibiotics for a kidney infection. Being the cruel mother that I am , I told her , that's what you get for sniffing half of Columbia.
She's got probation and drugs centre tomorrow. I hope she goes.

I hope she goes too!

Hope you have something nice you can do for you, Drinks - you need some respite.

drinkswineoutofamug · 31/01/2018 23:11

I'm at college tomorrow then back to work Friday after a month on deaths door.
I have treated myself to a new handbag though.

drinkswineoutofamug · 31/01/2018 23:12

And she's home, came back looking like a snowman as it's coming down heavy here.

Good luck at work Friday - that's an excellent day to start back (if you get the weekend off) - kind of easing your way in.

Enjoy the handbag! try not to hit the snow person with it if possible Grin

I'm going to have to start thinking of a new name for another thread at this rate . Answers on a post card 🤣

Hoping she goes today x

Well done! You've started to recover from the awful family disease of addiction, by starting to detach with love, by not enabling. Also, your daughter needs to feel the consequences of her bad choices, if we keep rescuing them, they will never reach rock bottom and choose recovery. I get support from a 12 step programme Families Anonymous, they have meetings UK wide, phone support, website etc.
Good luck

drinkswineoutofamug · 01/02/2018 16:07

Well she went to drug place and saw probation at the same time. Has pasted her drugs test and they are going to help her with some volunteering work she's interested in

well that is excellent news. So very glad that this is the update. Onwards and upwards we hope.

Time for you to focus on you and your health. Have a good return to work but don't overdo it.

drinkswineoutofamug · 14/02/2018 10:34

So up date.
Spoke to her drug workers , yes she passed her drugs test. And they have a treatment plan in place. She's also having a mental health assessment done to see which came first, mental health or drugs. Then spoke to probation. That was less informative. We have her social worker coming this afternoon.
She's given everyone permission to speak to me , any treatment or other issues , so I'm more in the loop with everything.
