Anyone fancy critiquing my first chapter

I'm writing a book. It's not quite a crime, more real life drama. Chance encounter changing two lives.

Would anyone fancy critiquing the first chapter? I have re-written so many times.
The main body and ending are fine. If so I'll send on a PM. I can take criticism...

A writer on another thread recommended Critique Circle to me - it's been brilliant. It's free for basic membership - you earn credits by critiquing other people's work and you only need three to post your own. It's been really helpful, not just for the feedback that I've received but it's made me think very carefully about what does and doesn't work when I'm reading other people's writing Smile
