Hi Craicnetters!

I was looking for the other thread and see it's fallen way down the list so I decided to make a new one for all our daily musings ☘️

Oh what has happened...I m too invested in the lady who needed an emergency wee.
I'm happy I have always worked somewhere where I can facilitate a toilet gor smallies and pregnant women. Although it is so grim I prefer to go to Dunnes.

LadyEloise1 · 14/10/2024 15:32

What is the Brian Stanley furore about ?
Any wise Craicnetter know ?

eggandonion · 14/10/2024 16:09

My learned friend who knows everything says in UK the Labour Party mps always get caught up in financial scandal. Tories get into sex messes.
Sinn Fein, no idea! Mary Lou seemed flustered earlier.

LadyEloise1 · 14/10/2024 16:33

Any Laois Craicnetter know what is going on?

eggandonion · 14/10/2024 16:45

No info really on twitter. And my learned friends colleagues aren't able to work it out. Very mysterious.

DeanElderberry · 14/10/2024 17:17

I have no idea and my bafflement was not helped by a sentence on the RTÉ board over the weekend that Stanley said he had always supported LGBT rights. Er - so?

It makes me suspect that FFG news managers may have a few things tucked away in filing cabinets that are going to get an airing before the still entirely theoretical election.

LadyEloise1 · 14/10/2024 17:42

I remember Pat Rabbitte, a Labour going into the Dail and saying something like he had information that would shake the foundations of the state.

I never did find out what the information was. 🙄

eggandonion · 14/10/2024 17:49

One of the secrets of fatima?

eggandonion · 15/10/2024 17:34

It's all starting to come out.
The child protection debate is on telly. Paul Murphy seems well balanced. About 6 tds are there now Mary Lou is gone.
The rest of them have left to gossip?

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 16/10/2024 17:37

These political scandals are always either sex or money related 🙄

I'm saddened by the news about the little 8yr old boy who is now considered murdered. I know the details will come out in time but it's just so desperately sad.

eggandonion · 16/10/2024 18:02

That is really sad, poor wee lad.

LadyEloise1 · 16/10/2024 18:21

And the wee girl in Co. Tyrone.
Sad

eggandonion · 16/10/2024 18:25

Both are strange cases, and really sad.
We could do with some good news. Like a royal wedding.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 16/10/2024 18:55

Ooh I love a royal wedding I'm not interested in them any other time but they know how to do a wedding and I LOVE watching the style!!

eggandonion · 16/10/2024 19:04

I was annoyed when Beatrice or Eugenie got married with no fuss in covid. I love watching.
My lovely late neighbour got the Daily Express and we discussed Princess Anne's hat and equally vital news.
Cork loves a royal visit!
