I'm still no clearer as to who killed Dennis and there's only one episode left!

I'm persevering even though it's boring as hell. I reckon short haired daughter shoved him off cliff thinking it was Bord Bia man. I don't know anyone's name apart from Callum after four episodes!

More mysterious is why short-haired daughter has a weird Peter Pan collar thing going on.

I only know Grace’s name, come to think of it. The rest are Lightfingered Pregnant Medic, Peter Pan Collar, Brain Tumour Man, Scandi Perv, Sexy Uncle, Bad Dad, Ex-Alcoholic Hat Lady, Curly Café Carrie Crowley, Curly Cop, Angry Teen, Longhaired Tween, Suicide Guy from Normal People and Mammy from The Young Offenders.

And Dervla Kirwan.

I do have a theory about who did it, actually, but it’s a long shot.

I’m catching up on iplayer. Cannot believe there’s yet another episode left. Dh has now bailed because he finds it so tedious, so I’ve promised him he doesn’t have to watch the last episode 😀

Little by little I’ve come to pretty much dislike all the characters, I can’t even remember why I’m still watching, but obviously won’t miss the last episode 🙂

I enjoyed the last episode - wasn't expecting that to be the outcome!

I preferred my own theory! The final episode got slightly strange, didn’t it? If there is another season, Dervla Kirwan will be running Clare’s organised crime with a perfect blow dry.

Why was Mairéad from The Young Offenders so underused?

I wasn't expecting that.
All neatly tied up.
In real life the children would be hugely affected when they find out in later years their dead father, they thought of as a murderer, wasn't. And finding out who the actual murderer was ..........
I don't know why the boyfriend bailed on Dervla. Did he still give her daughter the money or did she not need it anymore because her ex ( and father of her child ) turned up ?

It looked as if he still gave light-fingered GP daughter the money, in that same conversation where he ends the relationship. Which was a bit mad.

As was the fact that Grace is set up as longterm mentally unstable, violent and off her meds, and then spends the rest of the series being an entirely sensible nonentity.

They were all terrible, terrible people.
Except for the kids maybe not a redeemable character in it

Perfect except I call brain tumour guy Bord Bia Man! I knew at the start of the final episode he would take the blame but I thought the angry teen was the culprit.

I thought the Young Offenders woman's acting was awful and I didn't even realise she was in it until final episode for some reason and then was wondering who your woman was.

Also couldn't take Kevin McGahern seriously at all!

Who was the "Mammy from The Young Offenders" ?

Dervla Kirwan’s rich former best friend (possibly called Alannah?) who shagged Dennis at some point — I thought she was going to have a bigger part, but I think she was only at the party and in the scene near the end when she and Dervla Kirwan meet in a restaurant.

Why am I not getting the Bórd Bia reference? Was that actor in a BB ad? He wasn’t the guy who goes out and buys rashers at 3 am in NY, was he?

I don't know I'm what the rationale was behind the name @JaneJeffer Would like to know.. As a mother she was very involved a bit smothering perhaps? A total guess there btw!

I've been watching Deadwater Fell on RTÉ. It's very good. I'm annoyed because Sky didn't list it yesterday so I missed it but its all on the player.

It does seem a bit rich to imply Dervla Kirwan’s parenting was primarily to blame for not only her children but everyone in her circle being violent/sadistic/serial shaggers/alcoholics/mentally ill/involved in dodgy property deals/suspected of paedophilia, doesn’t it?

Yes I mean the dad was a right bastard. He was the one manipulating everyone. I kept mixing him up with the other beardy fella. I think they were brothers?
