All NI under new restrictions from 6p.m tomorrow. No households to mix indoors except where a till’s rising I suppose.

It’s a fucking joke. I can’t go to my sister’s house yet I can book a table at a restaurant with her. Just makes no sense

What does that mean for indoor gatherings like socially distanced sports competitions that were scheduled next weekend with maximum of 50? Are these to be cancelled or exempt?

It's maddening to think there are people flagrantly disobeying the "rules".
The ravers in the Oliver Bond flats in Dublin. Despite residents calling the police from early evening , nothing was done. The residents had to just put up with it.

Apologies, the rave was at a farm in Meath. The farmer said, when interviewed that it was people of a particular nationality who were at the rave.

I can't understand why those raves weren't broken up? Isn't that what the new legislation is for?

The Irish times report on the farm rave was fascinating, they emphasized how tidy the site was left. If Tidy Towns did raves...

What the actual fuck is the point in laying down ‘guidelines’ and not enforcing them? This government is the biggest bunch of spineless wonders going. They have no place running this country - it’s gone far beyond a joke now.

The farm one was interesting because a combine harvester could only get into the field during low tide. The article was full of details!

The farm rave gave me mixed emotions. I was raging reading about it then I got to the bit where they cleaned up and I was impressed. Maybe it was a socially distanced farm rave.
I have no idea why the fact they cleaned up even mattered.

I know the world contains stupid, selfish people but I didn't know so many lived in Ireland.

Confirmed cases in my town. Apparently there was a party. Some very angry people here now. Just as well I'm antisocial and go from work to home and back again.

Any shop I've been in took cash.

McDonald's had a card only machine for ordering, I'm not sure if you could have paid cash at the counter.

Dunnes took my cash last week.

I'm in one of the counties threatened with Level 3 restrictions again.
People have started being v careful again in shops and at work.

That's good to hear. I'm in Cork where there are increased cases. We got a birthday party invitation involving a bouncy castle for this weekend

Not surprised about the birthday invite unfortunately Fuzzy. A rake of kids in my school went off on sleepovers last weekend! Same people who'd been pestering us about pods!

It must be hard when you've to turn it down (somewhat politely I presume ) and explain why to your kid.
