Yes, i've dared to mention Xmas already cowers but as you see bargains it would be good to share them. I'm wanting to buy little bits across the year so that I don't have to spend loads at the end of the year.

So, i'll start, Debenhams have a sale on until Saturay so i'm going to stock up on the kids clothes.

What else has everyone else found?

Just red a tip on the tips section about buying nibbles and wine ready for Xmas and keeping them in a box. Am desperately looking at long term money saving suggestions just now as DH having to declare himself bankrupt in next week as business going down toilet. Bit worried that the wine might not last until xmas though! Also making hampers for reli's as pressies. Jams, pickles etc

jumpyjan · 28/07/2010 12:42

M&S have got an extra 30% off sale items - today only.

I bought a lovely childs china tea set for £5 (under kitchen section) reduced from £15, a peppa pig puzzle for £2 reduced from £5, and a really cute childs bookend for £3. Bargain! If you pick it up from a store its free delivery too.

www.bookdepository.co.uk seem to have 20% - %30% off all their audio books (and they are cheap to start with). There is nothing my kids love to recieve more than audio books, eg:

Photobox photobooks (great present for relatives) are only £8, instead of £30, if you sign up here

It's a group voucher scheme, and once you sign up, they will email the voucher to you tomorrow (deal only open for today - the deals change daily).

I got this form moneysavingexperts weekly email, and it seems to check out ok.

multiple vouchers can be bought, but only one used per transaction. voucher will be valid until the end of October, so you don't have to get the photobook done by tomorrow!

NB, the link above is a personal referral link. If you prefer not to use that (I will earn credit if you do), then please do google, and sign up that way.

What's wrong with planning for Christmas? Better to buy stuff now and take advantage of sale prices when you can find them rather than pay top dollar in December. I'm on a low income and don't have any credit so it makes sense for me to spread the costs over a few months. Otherwise it just becomes incredibly stressful if I leave it all till Nov/Dec.

Buddy80 · 17/08/2010 15:19

Hi,

Tescos are doing their Clubcard exhange which also includes toys.

Also, if you go to Poundland or 99p stores they do childrens DVDs such as Spot the Dog, Sylvanian Families and Little People which make really excellent presents or stocking fillers. They are really good quaility and a lot more expensive elsewhere (I have checked!). It does depends on which week they have them in stock, but seems to be very often.

Hope this helps!

anniebear · 19/08/2010 09:05

I just think this is a nice company and I like to use it and support an independent business, plus the fact that they get stuff to you really quickly.

Hate to think its nearly Christmas time, but since my second baby is coming in September, I guess I had better prepare extra early this year. I also got some really nice things for the baby on Next sale last week, but fraid that's all over now
