So I wanted to seek other people's thoughts on network providers, I've always been a bit of a snob when it becomes to who I use as my network provider and have always used EE or O2 but of recent the price I'm paying to 02 is just increasing to stupid amounts, it's now nearly £30 although I do get 100GB data. i don't get a new phone each time I always pay for my phone outright and then just have a SIM only. There are many of them small networks that piggyback on the proper networks although most of them require you to pay by card payment and you can't change the billing date like the main networks. I know talkmobile, Tesco mobile and ID mobile billing works like the main networks on direct debit albeit the reviews of them are terrible.

Then DS has a full contract and that's £60 each month.

What do you guys use as network provider, does it include the phone and what are you paying per month? I need to cut costs on what I'm paying in phones hopefully

I use ID mobile and it costs me £7 a month for loads of data that rolls over and unlimited calls and texts. I have never had any problems in four years.

I’m with talk mobile on a sim only deal and it’s £7.95 a month with 60GB of data and unlimited calls and texts. Never had any problems with them and been with them for 6/7 years

do you really need 100gb data? Don’t you have wifi at home ?

No I don't need it, I have WiFi I only really got that amount in case of outages with my WiFi

I'm with Tesco mobile, sim only. Mine is £7.50 a month, free phone calls and texts. My two sons are £10 each, unlimited phone calls and texts plus 10 Gbs data. They travel for college and the WiFi connection is patchy in places

I'm with giff gaff - think it uses o2 network. Bought own phone, so sim only. Currently on £10 a month for 20gb (but they are running a promotion and currently giving 40gb). Am sure i have seen them doing a promotion for £20 or £25 a month for unlimited data. Might be worth a look. And think you can change your plan up or down if you want.

I use smarty mobile, contract only. I pay £8 per month for 50gb. It just aut renews from my card each month. I switched from o2 last year and haven't noticed any difference at all.

I’m with Sky and just rejigged it a little as my DC’s sim has just gone out of contract and I wanted to save money.

With Sky you save unused data and can roll it over so DC’s plan had been 50gb per month and I’ve now switched it to 100mb which is the same as mine as I have over half a tb of saved data now and it only keeps for a year so might as well save money and use that up.

I’m now just under £40 per month. That includes both sims (£5 each), my handset (DC gets my old one when I upgrade), AirPods and an Apple Watch.

£7.45 pm with Tesco Mobile (uses O2 network), phone paid in full when I bought it.

I am on voxi, sim only and pay £10 a month for 20gb data and unlimited calls and texts, but most social media is free too. Currently for £10 a month you can get 60gb! It uses Vodafone’s network and even says welcome to vodafone voicemail when people get my voicemail. I like it because it’s not a contract and if my phone breaks and I decide to get a new contract out, I can just cancel my subscription. If anyone wants to join I have a recommend a friend code that I can send you and we both get discounts. I’ve been using it for over a year and have no issues at all.

I'm on giffgaff. You can change the plan each month in the app if you want more/less data etc.

Most people I know use Tesco mobile and like it.

Think I'm gonna look at Tesco mobile because I know O2 coverage is great here and Tesco is the same coverage. I saw clubcard price tariffs also don't have mid contract price rises either

I can be snobbish about lots of things (how you hold your knife and fork….) but my mobile network provider? I’d never realised these companies have snob value!

It wasn't meant as an insult to anyone, I don't consider any of them 'chavvy' I just previously made the assumption that they were of poorer quality.

They all share the infrastructure. Some have better coverage in some areas than others so it very much depends on where you live.
Vodafone has pretty good national coverage - except in my local Sainsbury’s.

I'm with GiffGaff. I was paying £8 pm for 4GB and could leave anytime but I moved to a 18 month contract costing £10 pm for 75 GB when they had an offer earlier this year. I have 13 months left on the contract. I have to admit I feel a little twitchy at the thought of being on a contract; paying month to month gave a sense of freedom! Plus I never come close to using 75GB. I own my handset outright. £30 pm seems a lot of money unless you don't have access to wifi.

I have been with Asda mobile for years no problem at all. 50gb unlimited texts and voice £7.00 no contract

Asda uses the Vodafone infrastructure.

Gif Gaf uses O2

I use giffgaff, owned by O2 And get 40 gigs of data for a tenner with no contract. But I know I could get a better deal if I went elsewhere.
