Have just wizzed to Sainsbury’s and the queue for petrol is insane !
Drove past another petrol station and same again. The price for a litre has gone up by 5p since Saturday when I filled up .Has anyone else noticed or is it just a local problem?

I can see if this crisis develops work places may go back to hybrid/WFH a bit more. At least we are well practiced following the pandemic.

£1.70 for diesel today at the place which is normally amongst the cheapest in town. Fuel prices here are always about 10p a litre higher than most other places in the country, no idea why. Not down south or in an expensive area. Not sure if our higher than average costs continue or if we have now equalised with the rest of the uk. Am doing a road trip at the weekend so will find out. Was tempted not to fill up and get cheaper fuel out of town but was worried about shortages.

We are very lucky in that the DCs can go on a bus to school. It takes 75 minutes each way but they are relaxed about it for now. Usually I drive them in the morning and they bus home. Things appear to be easing here though… although prices are prohibitive.

As a result of this thread, been glancing at petrol stations as I pass. In my home town, it has crept up so now about 8p more per litre fir petrol than they were a couple weeks back. No queues though.

We filled up this evening, just before they closed the pumps.
