How much is your weekly food shop, I try stick to a budget of £60-80 per week but really struggle so I'm intrigued how much others spend. My price gets dinners for a week and a couple other food items. No toiletries etc.

Out shopping is out off control.

We budget £1150 month and still go over.that normally.

There are 5 of us 3 adults, 1 teen ds and 12 year old dd

It includes lunches for 2 of the adults and dd's packed lunch. Ds has lunch at school.

It does include dog food for 2 small dogs and toiletries, housekeeping products etc.

Well I thought it was about £150 a week until I started tracking our family spend better. Was only paying attention to the main grocery shop. Small amounts added up quickly. Was actually closer to £250 a week over different accounts and using credit cards. Cleared over £12k debt. Now using a joint Revolut card and £200 per week for 5 of us (2 adults, three active teens) for main grocery shop, top ups of fruit and bread during the week, all cleaning supplies and toiletries. Packed lunches for everyone and takeaway coffee a few times a week.

£160 - £170 family of 5, includes 2 teenage boys and a pre-teen boy, 2 cats and a dog. DH home Eds the boys and I wfh. So that's for breakfasts, Lunches, dinners and homemade snacks , no junk food or cereals, includes 1 bottle of wine. I cook from scratch everyday. Can't get the shop lower than that.

Only 3 of us, easily reaching 900 ...you can ask me why but that is a very long story; little one always fussy, overcame eating issue with oral sensitivities, eats specific products cooked at specific way; I survive on bread, salads and cheese , yogurt, etc ; husband loves his clean healthy foods. He pays for it all. He just discussed with me. All I can do is advise him but it is him who buys it all anyway and we had the chat about budgeting long time, this does not change anything. He said for him healthy food is worth it; at least my husband earns is, is hardworking, not drinking, not smocking, not gambling and is focused on his good food.

sigh. What can I do
