I was using who gives a crap loo paper, but ran out at the beginning of January and just brought some loo roll in Aldi - its hopeless. I normally get through 2 rolls of who gives a crap loo paper a week for everyone. Now though its 5/6 rolls of loo paper a week. Its ridiculous, Im ordering who gives a crap again as it maybe £48 for 48 rolls but at least that will last 24 weeks. Purchasing Aldi loo rolls is a rip off

just ordered this one as its £36 for 48 rolls delivered and then 10% of with the code they offer, so was £33

I'm wondering if there is any Housekeeping magazine, a website or something like WHICH magazine; that have attempted to analyse the 'best value' for money of toilet rolls ? This would be useful information to know the best value for money i would think. Even just weighing rolls compared to price might give some indication ?

Costco 45 rolls for 23 quid. Lasts us 6 months.

I think there would be too many variables due to special offers as well as different roll lengths and thicknesses. It would provide a snapshot that would date so quickly it would render the exercise useless.

My tips would be:

Buy it from Costco if you're eligible for membership. If you buy petrol and use toilet roll it's probably worth the cost on those items alone.

Try cheaper brands, eg Nicky, Aldi etc own brand. Andrex is actually a bit rubbishy, they just spend a lot on marketing.

Buy in bulk and look for offers. Before covid I didn't realise how many people bought small packs toilet roll nearly every week. If you get a big pack, especially if you find a good offer, the cost per roll can be not much more than half that of buying a 4 pack (this also applies to canned goods, toiletries, cleaning products, pet food and probably a few other things).

We swapped from Cushelle to Ocado quilted at £8 for 18 rolls. Tried Andrex and found it really bitty.
