Broadband without the home phone

Does anyone have broadband without the landline and is it cheaper?

The only people who ever phone the home phone are FIL how is terminal and my DM and I'm really not bothered if she calls me again Grin

BT are a bit of an anomaly at the moment because if you opt for a landline phone, you get given a “Digital Voice” VOI phone that plugs into your broadband router (and doesn’t work if their is a power cut).

There, not their!

I pay for the landline with Plusnet and broadband is free. £20 a month but I don't even own a house phone.

@PritiPatelsMaker
i got my broadband with NOW down to £18 pm with no calls, but I’ve been a customer for 2 years now and have the TV streaming package for a long time, it’s not fast fibre but it’s perfectly adequate for what I need. I thought that was a bargain

I pay around £22 a month for superfast fibre. We have a landline but I unplugged it as we only ever get junk calls. I think weekend and evening calls are included, but I can't see it being any cheaper to ditch it at the moment.

That’s what we use our landline phone for. When a website form demands a phone number, we give the landline number. If they ring, they don’t get past the built in junk call screening.
