For some reason MNHQ have decided to hide the new thread. Maybe because it had lots of dodgy links to Money Saving Experts, Independent Foodbank, Bootstrap Cook and others.

Anyway until it is un hidden here is another dull un liniked emergency thread...

Periodically check the new link b/c it had all our collective ideas on.

How bizarre Unescorted Shock Anyway thanks for new thread and Happy Easter everyone Easter Smile We are having a quiet day down at our caravan. The ds refused point blank to come with us so first Easter without them. It's very peaceful here ... back at my house maybe not so much 🙈

Have had a lot of Dparent stress the last few days, not helped by dparent lying when we tried to work out what happened. The relationship hasn’t been great since the last time this happened although they have the skin of a rhino so they probably haven’t realised

Yuck to essays wolf I haven't got any until next semester now. Dreading it.

We've had a good day, dh paid for breakfast £19 which is a bargain. I did spend £95 on some AirPods for dds birthday but that's budgeted for and they're the cheapest they'll ever be. That's assuming I get them, Amazon let me order even though they're OOS.

I have no idea what is happening to the official new thread.... it is still being looked at & I have not been contacted to see if I am a real person so I guess this thread is the new thread.... If that changes I will let you know.

Time you have my sympathy. I hope your parent stress becomes less & they start to accept help with things. My mum is now looking to get help so it goes to show change is possible. I keep my fingers crossed that your parent also accepts help.

Have been sorting out a lot of drawers and shelves . Just taken 4 black bags full of books clothes and general bric a back to the Cancer charity shop. So that's a job well done 🤗
Spent 19 in Morrisons on food
We've finished the choc thank God !

I went to Tesco and M&S today but there was not an Easter egg to be seen no mini ones or anything. Disappointing.

The bank contacted me. There are a few others. Nothing debit from my account, card blocked and new on issued with in 10 minutes. Didn’t even need to leave my sun bed

unescorted thanks for new thread 🤗 how did the fell race go? Are you a fell runner? I am a very slow runner. I peaked at 5km but seem to be slipping back.
Just had DParents here for the weekend. Spendy, around £120 on food and drink all in but they always spoil us at their house and over the years. DDad bless him is not easy now with the dementia. He’s very rude to DMum a lot of the time and very demanding - a bit like an 80 year old toddler. DD is doing psychology A level and said apparently the type of dementia he has will exacerbate this and make anger control harder (and he never was great at that in the first place). So some nice bits of the weekend but hard to see DMum upset.
On the plus side the DCs are great with him. DS1 who I was worried about has come off his x box (after accidentally breaking his TV with x box rage - he bashed his TV with his controller in anger). That sounds awful but has actually done him so much good. He had money to buy a new TV but has stayed off it, started revising for his GCSES and eating properly. He had acknowledged how much nicer a person he is without the x box. I’m currently in the car with the dog while they’re playing badminton in the park. The dog tries to join in so has been banished 😂

£15 coop. Cheese and donuts.

We had friends round this afternoon and played in the garden.

Have managed to empty the laundry basket. All cleaned and folded and put away. Yay.

I also managed a nap on the couch after friends had left. Bliss. Ds played with his tablet. Dd napped outside with DH.

Back to normal tomorrow.

Martha I used to fell run but dislocated my knee & lost my fitness. I still bumble over the fells but walk the ups, jog the flats and run the downs (the best bit). I marshal so I don't have to keep the sweeper company. Someone has to marshal so it may as well be me b/c I won't even be the last team counter anymore.

I think I am quite odd... I love writing essays. Wolf send them my way if you need words ordering

Yay for empty washing basket.

Today is a uni day but Easter holidays so I like learning. I need to send dds passport off. Dh is taking WreckCat to the vets later too. I've made it to the gym at normal time despite not needing to be this early, trying to keep my routine.

I’m in NI at my parents house until tomorrow eve. Haven’t checked my work email in days and feel slightly sick about it!
We are finalising plans for our wedding reception which we are having this summer finally after having a tiny lockdown wedding. Will mean a lot of saving up even though we are only having a drinks reception and dinner as we are already married!
