Great news on the dance. Fingers crossed for Covid dodging
Urgh hot offices are the worst.

Happy Mother’s Day my lovely people. X

Did you all remember to put your clocks forward

AdoraBell · 27/03/2022 09:39

Happy Mother’s Day 💐 everyone

Taytocrisps · 27/03/2022 09:39

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely mothers and a special mention for Gen - hope today isn't too hard for you and that you get to experience being a mother soon.

DD woke early, fed the cats and left out my presents - a lovely handmade card, a purse to match my handbag and some chocolate. She's back in bed now, doing her teenage thing Grin.

Looking forward to another sunny day and a nice meal out later.

Going to get a few wash loads done and take advantage of the gorgeous weather.

ememem84 · 27/03/2022 09:43

Hope you have had a lovely mother's Day.
Gen I am so sorry that it is a bit of a shit day for you.

I have been having happy thoughts towards my mother... By design.

I cancelled the washer order .. after 4 days Currys had still not even given me an estimated delivery date and when I rang they couldn't give any more information other than I had ordered it. So I cancelled the order and had stern words to the broken one which has now decided to work.... 9 loads of line dried washing.

The rest of the weekend has been gardening... I will not need vit D or heating. I may have caught the sun...

Unescorted I'm picturing you talking to the washing machine here Smile

I'm debating a vacuum cleaner purchase here, as you do. I've got a carpet cleaner sitting in a box unused maybe I should take it out first and wash the carpets? Having cat in the house occasionally has definitely contributed to the need for a better hoover.
Argos have 25% off shark. I've one4all vouchers too which will go towards the purchase.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/03/2022 09:16

I like my shark
Washing out over night 3 days on the bounce. Washing in now
That’s rubbish of curry’s. I can never fault AO if you ignore the buy extension warrenty call

Timetoswitch · 28/03/2022 19:49

I don’t find my new Shark vacuum as easy to manoeuvre as my old dyson. But I do like it, especially the light that shines where you vacuum.

Is it only Monday?! 😂

Taytocrisps · 28/03/2022 20:49

Good news - I won a prize in a competition in work. Only thing is, I can't remember what the prize is Blush.

Happierwithouthim · 28/03/2022 20:58

Big surprise so tayto Grin

Easy for Argos to have shark with 25% off it's out of stock Angry

€70 Iceland after using €10 off €50 coupon got a months cat & dog food plus washing powder & some McCain's loaded fries which look lush

€82 Aldi including furniture paint to transform a green kallax to grey and a few treats for some Covid positive friends who will look after Covid positive dd while I attend ds's first confession tomo eve

My superior agreed to me taking half days paid holidays to cover dd's isolation so 2.5 days instead of 5 Grin

€116 on a knapsack sprayer & 5l weed killer 22390 steps today, I'm wiped Wink

Mrsmadevans · 28/03/2022 21:50

NSD for me today yay!
Soup tonight didn't fancy anything else, watching the Wakefield programme , it's giving me the shudders tbh Shock

northender · 28/03/2022 22:35

Sebo vacuum cleaners are fab, but plug in, not cordless.
Mother's Day was good though ended up in sibling bickering as usual because they work in the kitchen in very different ways & annoy each other!
Cracking on with my assignment now to get as much as possible done before we go away.
Tea from random ice cream tubs in the freezer tonight

Unescorted · 29/03/2022 06:18

Happier I get a better response from it than everyone else.

I think our vac is a Shark - I have managed to not learn how to turn it on for the last 18 months. Some one else can take responsibility for vacuuming. It seems to work and has a natty detachable bit that can be used to do the stairs / cobwebs.

Mrs yay for the NSD.

My rhubarb is loving the extra sunshine after chopping back the honeysuckle that was shading it. I also appear to be a chive whisperer.... I need to get to the supermarket to pick up flat leaf parsley, basil and mint in pots. I must wait until the cold snap passes. I am going to put some vege containers in this year. I have the containers, seeds, soil and compost. I am thinking lettuce, tomatoes, lemon grass, ginger and Chinese leaves - all of which get half eaten and then left to rot in the fridge because I like variety and can only eat so much of one thing. I am going to put them in the space the shed should be occupying if only it was ever built..... as soon as I want the area it will spur them into action. At which point I can move the pots.....

We have a shark. I love it. Although no idea where it is (loft maybe?)

Up early again here and no one else is stirring.

DH has taken to coming to bed past midnight again so he’s always sleeping in. Ah.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/03/2022 07:21

That’s a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it

Ooo nice surprises tayto
Great news on extra bit of pay happier even if it is holiday
Wow steps
Those loaded fried are nice enough for freezer tea. Ds loved them but my freezer is too full
I sometimes have to turn the suction down on the shark to be able to push it

Timetoswitch · 29/03/2022 07:35

Ah that’s probably my issue with the shark life. Must have a look at the manual if you can do that!

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/03/2022 09:14

Mine has a slide button on the handle min/ max - slide to min

Happierwithouthim · 29/03/2022 13:07

I've been using my carpet cleaner for first time in the sitting room I'd intended to do my bedroom as well but I'm not doing it anymore, half the bottle gone on sitting room and think I'll do sitting room again tomorrow morning

Today's a no spend day

Thanks for vacuum advise after seeing the muck out of these carpets it's badly needed

AdoraBell · 29/03/2022 13:23

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/03/2022 17:42
