I don't miss the early mornings either. Although I get up at 5:20 for the gym when I go, this morning I woke up at 7:30 and ds had just got up, dd didn't rouse until later.

Dh did the food shop today £45. That definitely won't last, I wrote a list but I guess I pick up more on the way home and realise one punnet of cherry tomatoes or one box of cereal bars won't last a week HmmGrin

ememem84 · 15/04/2022 20:19

I have no issue getting up at 530 usually. Either to do a meditation and yoga or go for a run or just to sit and chill with a coffee. If it’s my choice. If it’s because I’ve been woken up….well. That’s a different matter.

DH says I should savour the moments with the dc. I say no. Only if I wake up by myself and if it’s after 730am.

Have done 4 loads of laundry today. And cleaned machine.

Also. In big news. Catface is home. I’m so so happy. She’s been missed. She hasn’t been downstairs much as it’s freaking her out everything being different. But she’s chilling on my bed right now. She’s been outside. She’s home. And happy. And I’m happy.

Been to pub with dparents and dsis for dsis’ birthday then back to dsis house. Such a nice time. Yay.

WreckTangled · 15/04/2022 20:28

I agree with that em. Ds used to wake really early when he was about 2 and no matter what anyone says once they're awake there's really nothing you can do except get up with them.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2022 20:43

Yeah catface, she will settle
Gws wolf mam and hope ds is behaving
I don’t mind early mornings but makes for early night
Nsd today

Yes em early mornings are my time..... I hate it when everyone gets up and ruins the quiet.

It is looking like another cracker of a day here today. I must remember to water Mr Rhubarb. Plant up the tomato seeds - some are out of date so I will plant up more and hope.

Catface woke me up. She was sitting on my back. Demanding I get up and put biscuits in her bowl.

She’s forgotten how to use her cat flap. Thicko.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2022 07:48

I got pounced on by puppy this morning. Last minute packing , dog to kennels then leaving on a non-frugal jet plane

Happy holiday Life - may you be blessed with short check in & security queues.

em at least she isn't hiding under the sofa.

I have gone all instagram influencer..... I am outside with my lap top and a lovely brew. I am going to switch it up to a pot of tea, raspberry jam in a dish (with teaspoon) and seeded hand cut toast on a breadboard for tomorrows check in. I must learn pictures.....

Dh is working today and I'll just do housework I guess. A bit annoying as it's going to be a lovely day and then cloudy from tomorrow. I've just spent £27 booking adventure golf for tomorrow which will be nice, we haven't done anything together for ages.

CurlsandCurves · 16/04/2022 10:06

Morning,

Rude awakening here too. DH is on a mission to clean the exterior of the conservatory. He started at about 8am. Then rang me as the hosepipe had a kink in it somewhere and he was on the roof so could I please come out and find said kink so the water could run again! I still got a lie in so can’t be mad.

No plans here, just a pottering round the house kind of weekend I think.

AdoraBell · 16/04/2022 11:03

Yay for Catface being home 😍

Hmm at rude awakenings.

We’re going to the New Forest for the day.

Wolfcub · 16/04/2022 17:22

Have a wonderful holiday Life

I have been to the pub, drinking in the sun, I might be a little half cut

Unescorted · 17/04/2022 06:09

wolf it was a beautiful day for it.

I have foolishly said I will marshal at a fell race today - first one for 2 years. It is going to be odd seeing loads of people I haven't seen for so long. I am pleased to see it is a fine day and v. glad I am not doing the kit checks.

I have also forgotten to buy anything for dinner today - who knows what we will be eating given that most shops are closed today.
