Time it would make a good story Grin

Unescorted they're still not great up that part of the country, in my part we've some good ones and some like those in Mayo Grin

€145 on kennel & cattery ShockShock
€21.50 on gift for dbro & his wife
€21.95 on dinner which can be expensed

My dd for electricity bill went out €404.79, this was humongous due to a problem with my water pump which I've now rectified the next one should be covered by governments donation luckily

ememem84 · 22/03/2022 06:12

Currently committing biggest crime of apartment living. Washing machine on before 8am.

In my defence. There is no one living below us at the moment. And I have a shit ton of laundry to get through. If I can get a load done and on dryer before we leave for work I can throw another in before we leave. And then get a third done before bed.

Unescorted · 22/03/2022 06:28

Em congratulations!

With the washing - you are moving out. Who cares Wink

This is turning into a spendy month.... parking ticket (appealed because the machine wasn't working), ds needs new trainers (and has not got any work shifts atm because another mother has complained about the organisations' under 18 policy), the washing machine has broken (filters checked) and the washing line has finally given up the ghost. As well I got paid £1400 in back pay this month.

Mrs I might take a look at the B&M planters.

That is a spendy month. Harsh he’s got no shifts because of someone else complaining.

Meh who cares em. It’s not that early

CurlsandCurves · 22/03/2022 08:01

Blimey very spendy @Unescorted. These things always happen out of the blue, don’t they?

One of the girls I was out with this weekend has just messaged the group chat to say she’s tested positive. I’m negative at the moment. But I’d already tested before she messaged because I feel awful, banging headache and the sniffles. I’ll keep a mask on at work today and test for the next few days. Ibuprofen and coffee is kicking in now.

Mrsmadevans · 22/03/2022 08:13

Congratulations Em 👏
I agree with life . No one will mind about the washing l am sure, it's not too early lovely 😊
Unescorted spendy indeed !
Just as well you had your back pay this month . There were loads of planters to chose from in our Home Bargains . It is one of the bigger newer ones so the gardening section is huge . I will see if we can go to B&M today , they will have a great section as well l am sure 😊
Curls hope you feel better soon 💐
Beautiful day here 😊
Have a lovely day everyone 😊

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/03/2022 09:56

Great news em on the work thing

9 bin bags of garden detritus to the tip. That’s just the dead leaves etc

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/03/2022 18:41

£58 matalan using 20 percent off voucher

Unescorted · 22/03/2022 20:12

life next year gather the leaves up and put them in bin bags. Water the leaves and tie the tops. Leave them for a year to rot down into the best leaf mould. Spread out on your flower beds for free soil conditioner and weed suppressant. I sadly offer to take other people's leaves to get enough.

Curls hope you avoid the lurgy.

Kitchen is sort of in!!!! I went to the house to collect post. And it’s there. It looks amazing. I’m so so happy.

Unescorted · 22/03/2022 20:47

Yay em

ememem84 · 22/03/2022 21:22

Today has been spendalicious.

£600+ at ikea. Cabinets etc.
£600+ made.com dining table.
£74 more lemur wallpaper. I’m taking it up the stairs.
£25 next - soap dispenser leopard print towels and a sign for downstairs wc. Says “wc” I’m
Also revamping this room. But am doing it myself. Tile paint. Grout pen. New shelves. New mirror. On a budget. Reckon I can do it for less than £200. DH says no. But whatever.

With my promotion came a pay rise. And a bonus for being awesome. I treated myself to a pension payment. Future me will be grateful.

ememem84 · 22/03/2022 21:26

Oh and annoyingly builders accidentally switched our freezer off. So everything has to be thrown away. It wasn’t a huge amount and they are compensating for this £150 to me. So that’ll help top it back up again.

Filled up car just now too. Came home and DH saw the reciept. £53. I swear we could fill car previously for £35. Boooooo.

Wolfcub · 22/03/2022 22:18

£35 Em jeez how cheap is petrol over there

ememem84 · 23/03/2022 06:11

Not anymore wolf!

We do only have a small car - Ford Fiesta. And only fill up maybe once a month. Because there’s not much driving to be done here really. But still.

Up early today again.

It’s a busy day. Work. Meetings with people. Then Pilates for both me and DH. Him at 6. Me at 8.

Unescorted · 23/03/2022 06:29

em even at £53 and a small car it is cheap. It is over £80 to fill our little 1.6l golf here. I have taken to walking and cycling a lot. Every trip has to be unavoidable or double up with something else and be over 3 miles.

Hope everyone has a lovely day - off to start mithering with 1 week to YE it is going to be a long day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2022 06:58

I will keep the leaves next year but this year was about clearing up after lazy

Wow I need a smaller car again or to move to near em

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2022 07:05

@Timetoswitch have you ordered modi body yet. They do refer a friend of you are interested in sharing

Timetoswitch · 23/03/2022 07:47

I did see that, but thought it would be a bit cheeky to offer mine life. Mine are already on order.

CurlsandCurves · 23/03/2022 10:30

AAaaaand this morning I tested positive!

Yesterday I felt terrible, was on my knees by the time I’d finished work, aching, shivering. But I’ve had a lie in this morning and I feel loads better. Just sneezing loads. Technically I can go to work (off today anyway). But I’ve left it up to my colleagues, if they’d rather I stay away then of course I will. My boss is fine with that and is messaging everyone I’ll be in with this morning.

But anyway, it’s a glorious day here, I’ve got all the windows open I’m going to get some music on and do some cleaning, rock and roll!

P.S. @ememem84 great news about the house, can’t believe how quickly they’re cracking on with it!

Happierwithouthim · 23/03/2022 12:14

Em and everything you put into it will be fresh and new so that's great Grin

Oh fuel is crazy at the moment, today will be my first full fill since it went up Hmm

Happierwithouthim · 23/03/2022 12:30

curls hopefully you'll sail through covid, if you're feeling a bit better today. I read an article stating that Omicron was 70% more transmissible, BA2 is 30% more transmissible than omicron, both more transmissible than chicken pox or measles, symptoms now develop quicker than omicron too

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2022 16:19

Gws curls
Great on the build and refunding the freezer

Wolfcub · 23/03/2022 17:17

Em in contrast I put 210 miles worth of fuel in my car today. It cost over £40 just for that. It's not even half a tank and I'm also driving a 1.2l

Wolfcub · 23/03/2022 17:18

I've just seen Martin Lewis's budget update. Good for lower incomes (or rather less worse than anticipated) shit for the squeezed middle and no additional help on energy for anyone
