Car packed for another tip trip and need pet stuff

Unescorted woah there lady and stop beating up. The bowls are gorgeous, the aisle of wonder is lethal, and frankly after the last few months you deserve it. As for guests- when can we come 😁

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/03/2022 11:19

As for library fines, consider it an investment in future recipe books to borrow and try

Wolfcub · 20/03/2022 12:53

Those noodle bowls are gorgeous Unescorted and we all need things that give us joy so don't feel shit. And with all the stuff you've had on not pushing the renew button is understandable Life is right and also give yourself a bit of grace.
I will have a look at that recipe Em, I love noodles
Time good point re the budget, I'm running on fumes but wonder if I can limp on until Wednesday?
Today is all about washing, studying, redoing the cleaning because teenager and dog and trying not to throttle the teenager.

Mrsmadevans · 20/03/2022 14:16

Unescorted those bowls are gorgeous l don't blame you one bit 💐as far as the library fines go , it's just a little blip , think of all the money and space you have saved by using the library lovely ☺️

Mrsmadevans · 20/03/2022 14:20

Wolf great restraint on not throttling teen well done 😊
Lovely recipe Em must give that a go 🤗😋
Tip for us too life l am getting rid of so much crap here and about time too 😱
NSD for me yay!

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/03/2022 14:43

I gave up on the top as the q was literally a mile long.

Unescorted · 21/03/2022 06:31

Thank you for the love.

Life my door is always open - this only turning up when invited and only on the 3rd day of the month if the queen is seen out side Primark in a purple hat is not my style.

Wolf he will get better.

Em thanks for the recipe link - that website has loads of lovely looking recipes. I use School of Wok and Little Fat Boy. Is it bad that I want my kids to move out so I can do more SE Asian food and not have noses raised in the air?

The bowls are more beautiful than the photos.... I am only half heartedly looking for cupboard space so I can gaze lovingly at them for a couple of days. I now need to step away from the Amazon account.

I had a good hack at one of the honeysuckle, roses and hydrangea and did some weeding. I had forgotten how lovely it is to garden potter on a nice day. My chive transplants have survived the winter, but one of the 50p Wikes plants and one of the £1 iris looks to have gone to plant heaven. I could just be being impatient.

I committed a mn cardinal son last night and left the washing that wasn't quite dry on the line because today is supposed to be dry. Turns out it hasn't just got darked on, it's frozen stiff Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2022 07:18

Me either unescorted, I love people just popping in

ememem84 · 21/03/2022 10:43

Happierwithouthim · 21/03/2022 11:19

Wolf my clothes are outside in shed since last thurs Grin

Unescorted bowls are fab

Luckily library fines are no longer a thing in Ireland

ememem84 · 21/03/2022 11:30

happier I’m in Dublin in a couple of weeks. Does that count as a visit?

For a hen party so no doubt the Monday after will be hanging too….

Happierwithouthim · 21/03/2022 12:28

4 hours from me em HmmWineGlitterball

ememem84 · 21/03/2022 12:31

Ah that’s a bit far!

I’m really excited though. Never been before. Should be a giggle. Looking forward to dancing.

Timetoswitch · 21/03/2022 18:05

Imagine if one of us did randomly turn up happier 😂

It’s been a long week already…

Frugal win yesterday. Was about to pour away some very out of date lemonade. Instead I boiled it up in the kettle and got rid of the lime scale. I normally use vinegar which stinks!

Has anyone ever used period swimwear? I’m a bit dubious but might need it for my holiday 😬

Wolfcub · 21/03/2022 18:30

Loving those recipe sites Unescorted

Unescorted · 21/03/2022 18:57

Time I did not even know it was a thing.

My boss & I were eyeing up the gin at my 121 - at 8:30 this morning.

Happier I might take you up on that offer. It is ages since I have been to Ireland. My Dmum came from Mayo - it is so beautiful over that side. The roads were painful mind.....

Wolf what will the neighbours say? Lowering the tone of the area like that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2022 19:31

Dunno about period underwear but I’ve been looking for dd for our holiday. She already uses the pants.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2022 19:33

It’s dark and my washing is still out

Timetoswitch · 21/03/2022 19:54

life it looks like it might have to be swim briefs from modibodi, with bikini or tankini top.

I’ll let you know how I get on (although hoping not to need them!)

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2022 19:59

That’s what I was thinking, though dd wants board shorts over the top.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2022 20:03

Not cheap are they

ememem84 · 21/03/2022 20:23

I use modibodi pants. But haven’t tried the swimmers yet. Tempted though. The pants are amazing. Since I’ve been triple backed my periods have gone haywire. So fun. The modibobi pants have saved me a fortune. Although not initially cheap.

In other news. Pay rise and promotion here. All takes effect as of 1 April. Hoorah!

CurlsandCurves · 21/03/2022 20:39

Hi all,

Back from a fantastic night away with friends in Leeds. Eating, drinking, dancing, shopping. Well, not too much shopping, more browsing.

Our meal out was amazing and very frugal as we managed to find a £20 off voucher. I’m till shattered today tho! Got to be careful now as it’s not payday till a week on Thursday and I’ve got about £70 left.
