Oh no alfie, I’m sure it went better than you think.

I was so incredibly hacked off yesterday and raged all evening, it was quite a relief when I realised today it was hormonal 🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/02/2022 20:32

Doesn’t sound like a fun day unescorted
Love Grin hope the physio goes well

Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2022 21:49

Unescorted no fun but necessary evil Thanks
Alfie bet your hormones are making you self critical and you did loads better than you thought

northender · 16/02/2022 23:40

Nothing major going on here this week. Ds submitted his application so fingers crossed he'll get an interview. He's being realistic though.
Dd had a couple of nights away with a friend but is now back and has her head firmly in her books ready for more exams next week.
On Monday I made soup which has been great & stretched to seven portions but cost so little. Also did a big vat of bolognese which will do several meals.
Finances looking healthy at the moment. Famous last words...

HumbugWhale · 17/02/2022 07:05

Morning all! Low spend week so far, just the Tesco shop. It's been a busy week though, I am looking forward to half term next week!

CurlsandCurves · 17/02/2022 07:59

@Alfiemoon1 I’m annoyed on your behalf about the interview, leaving twice to get a pen??? I’m sure you did better than you think, it’s so easy to be self critical and do ourselves down. Fingers crossed for you.

@northender I’m the same re finances. Just did my daily look at the online banking app, hmmmm, not bad! Then I think, there’s still over a week to go till the end of the month, anything could happen!

ememem84 · 17/02/2022 12:36

alfie that’s a shocker.

Bornlazy · 17/02/2022 13:24

Alfie that is terrible. How unprofessional of them. I'm sure you did better than you think.

Unescorted hope today's a better day for you. Miserable weather when you're already a bit down just makes everything worse.

em that seems like quick work with your kitchen. Hope it continues to move at that pace.

Love hope the physio helps. I'm sure it will if you stick with it.

I need to get back on the meal planning. I've total lost interest in food shopping and dh has been picking up bits here and there which always ends up costing way more. He has no eye for a bargain.

Mrsmadevans · 17/02/2022 14:24

Tesco £4 on milk & bread Smile
Alfie Flowers pretty poor show on their side lovely Grrr!
Born it happens to us all lovely, let's face it what else is there to look forward to atm except treating ourselves with a bit of nice food and drink . The weather is atrocious, inflation through the roof , no heating or electric bill let up , fuel is dire Covid and last but not least the Ukraine situation ....le sigh.
North hope your Ds gets an interview lovely , fingers crossed Smile
Sunny here and blue skies, until tomorrow morning and storm Eunice Hmm
Stay safe everyone Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2022 16:36

Stay safe peeps especially those in the red zone

Unescorted · 17/02/2022 17:10

Tonight / tomorrow morning looks wild. Nail everything down.

The last week before payday always seems to go wrong.

North my fingers are crossed for your ds.

Humbug you must be the only people not on half term this week.
Today has been a better day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2022 17:27

We aren’t on half term. Next week for us

Lovemaltesers · 17/02/2022 17:52

Half term next week here too.

School/work now shut tomorrow. Home learning for the DC tomorrow. Not sure how strict I’ll be 🤣 On the plus side, was meant to be going in tomorrow, but feeling done in, so very happy not to now!

Startagaintoday · 17/02/2022 17:58

NSD bought time too. Did pick up horse wormers from vet but they will just be added to the never ending bill. Am in the red zone. Hoping out stables stay upright. Also need to drive 90 miles tomorrow to see my mum. 89 years old and by herself. I go every week but due to work last week was monday. I'm also then working Saturday to Wednesday so really hope to get there tomorro w

Unescorted · 17/02/2022 19:21

start take care. It looks grim.

I am going walking with a friend tomorrow. Thankfully in the afternoon. We may retire to a cafe.

AdoraBell · 17/02/2022 20:12

Spent £7 odd in Sainsbury’s, milk and a yellow sticker ready meal.
£24 on dentist check-up
£70-ish grocery delivery on Monday.

We’re also in the red zone, DD1 too, she’s in Cardiff.

Hope everyone stays safe.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2022 20:13

Amber here but at risk of snow

Gensola · 17/02/2022 21:30

I am a bit scared of the storm Shock Amber area here but really worried a tree will fall on the house or car or someone else’s house (we have a huge tree in our not huge back garden).
We are limping to payday after an expensive month. DH vasectomy reversal was £3.5k wiping out our measly savings.
We are having our wedding reception finally this summer so need to save for that as well as clearing last of the IVF debt.
Dinner was very frugal - veg and chicken curry from freezer, lentil dal from store cupboard ingredients and chickpea flour dosas again from store cupboard. Really tasty and free!! Well previously paid for anyway 😬

grannycake · 18/02/2022 07:02

Red here on Gower - I won't be going anywhere

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2022 07:10

Dusting of snow here and that’s it. No wind

Happierwithouthim · 18/02/2022 07:38

We've wind and had a shower of hail earlier. It's worked frugally in my favour, had childcare booked due to inservice day €90. With the storm pending work will be very quiet, new girl(7 months) confident she can cope on her own for a few hours so I'm not going in until lunchtime €40 childcare now! She's taking them swimming so I guess €15 towards that but still saving!

Alfiemoon1 · 18/02/2022 08:03

Morning al
Nsd yesterday
Hoping the storm isn’t as bad as they are predicting and everyone stays safe it’s calm here at the moment. I work from home so won’t be going out unless ds is working in which case he will need taking and picking up
Dd is coming home for the weekend but dh will pick her up at lunch time

I have the worst period pains ever I always do on day 3 gggrrr
I got the job I am so shocked I’ve accepted it just waiting for the contract to come through so I can hand my notice in

Have a good day everyone and stay safe

Happierwithouthim · 18/02/2022 09:35

Woohoo well done Alfie

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2022 10:18

That’s brilliant alphie. Just goes to show you never can tell

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2022 10:18
