Thing is mrs if the other Dd wanted she could contest this if it could be proved that he is illiterate.

Uncle is poa for dgrandma. Makes sense as he is in U.K. and dm is here. He had borrowed around £30k from grandmas account. But has asked dgrandma to make the Will work so anything he hasn’t paid back will be taken off any inheritance. Dm is aware of this.

Mrsmadevans · 07/04/2021 20:18

Em Bobbo is going to change his will very soon once things have settled and are more clear, he doesn't want the fraudulent daughter to get a penny, l think he will leave it to his remaining 3 children . As long as he is well cared for & happy bless him Smile
That is fair enough if Uncle has been open and above board with the loan Em Smile

Unescorted · 07/04/2021 20:30

gen just seen the pictures from NI - hope your family are OK.

Lovemaltesers · 07/04/2021 20:31

That’s horrific mrs

Definitely something to look into more once things are sorted with Ddad. I just can’t have another falling out with Dmum at present as I worry about her trying to cut me out on Ddads care.

SnugglySnerd · 07/04/2021 22:18

That's awful Mrs.

Just watched that mad whose house is it programme which is totally bonkers but addictive! That was quite a house tonight! I guessed correctly again.

ememem84 · 07/04/2021 22:43

If it was me advising bobbo I’d maybe suggest that he has someone completely independant with him while he makes the new will and has them wittiness it. Not anyone in the family. If he can’t read or write then he needs to make sure that it can’t later be contested.

Mrsmadevans · 07/04/2021 22:45

Good God Unescorted just read about NI , it must be hell there living on a knife edge. hope you & yours are ok Gen Flowers
Love l know it is just unthinkable that your loved ones would do that to you Flowers
Snuggly did you watch the decluttering programme with Stacey as well, it was brill, l wasn't very keen on her before. l found her too giggly but she has grown on me and she is a sweetheart Smile

shipsandgiggles · 07/04/2021 23:39

Hiya, it’s been a boring cold day here so we haven’t got up to much. I did lots of my notes for my course, I’ll hopefully get that all finished tomorrow so I can start my assignment that’s due Monday! I need to stop procrastinating. £33 on a bundle of clothes for DD and a bundle for DS it will hopefully get them through summer.

life I hope your DH doesn’t get too poorly from the jab!

mrs that is so awful, I have no idea how someone could do that to their own family. God love him❤️

unescorted DD will be 2 this month and DS is 5 months old, so not school age yet. I’m currently using Facebook market place and my dad has asked around the family to bag up any old clothes as there are lots of kids in the family and mine are the youngest. I think he’s going to drop a few bags down so that’s brill. Great tips though, I’ll keep that in mind when the DC start school!

Unescorted · 08/04/2021 06:48

Morning - halfway through the work week.

I am knackered because I stayed up watching the programme about 4yo going into care homes. It is such a lovely watch. The kids and the oldies are adorable.

ships it is a good place to be in the family age spectrum. Mine are the oldest so I had to cultivate underhand methods. My DD is the only grand daughter of very indulgent grandparents.... she just has to look longingly at things and they appear as if by magic.

SnugglySnerd · 08/04/2021 07:18

Yes Mrs! I loved the decluttering programme, it's just my sort of thing. I love clearing out and organising stuff.

On that subject we had one of those charity collection bags through the door this week. I have never been so pleased to see one since the charity shops have been closed for so long. I ended up putting out 3 bin bags of stuff yesterday.
I am gradually working through the branded/better quality stuff listing it on Ebay and I also passed a big bag of cot bedding onto Women's Aid as I emailed them and they said they knew someone locally in need of that sort of thing.
We cleared out the garage on Monday and took a car load of stuff to the tip and yesterday I sorted out all the craft stuff and threw out any crayons etc that didn't work and organised the rest. We now have a tray of play dough cutters etc, another of felts, crayons etc and a third for glue spreader, paint brushes and stampers. I wonder how long it will stay organised!

ememem84 · 08/04/2021 13:55

Oooh a declutter programme?! I’m so on that!!

£5.50 on salad and Diet Coke. Peri peri chicken salad. From the portuguese cafe down the road from the office. It’s an A4 sized box (ish) and was packed with chicken cous cous pasta leaves onion grated carrot chickpeas it’ll do me for dinner or lunch tomorrow too. But bloody hell it’s spicy!!!

Also £28 waxing. Ouchies.

I did a very british thing too. The lady didn’t give me any paper pants. So I didn’t ask. Apparently according to my colleague it’s easier to wax without the paper pants. And the Polish girls at the beauticians use them but the Portuguese girls don’t. Either way very happy with the waxing. Yay.

Mrsmadevans · 08/04/2021 15:55

It's called Sort your life Out Em we loved it Grin even Dh! www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000tj8v
Don't envy the waxing Grin do envy the Portuguese feed though Grin
Snuggly great stuff re the decluttering! Smile
Unescorted it was just lovely to watch it and how they interacted bless them! Smile
Ship you have your hands full lovely! i had 17 months between mine and it was so hard! However it was so much easier when they got to school age Grin
Tesco today bought 5 x 9 rolls of Velvet toilet paper it was 2 quid a pack !! 10 Tesco
I had my renewal for the car ins, 278 , did a price comparison on confused . com , Quote me happy was 178 with just Dh driving ! Phoned Admiral to cancel and l eventually got it for 166 from them l drive my Dd1 car , Dd2 has her own car too, Only Dh drives the Hyundai. It's too big for me tbh. So 112 saved with just a few tweaks an da price comparison site am well pleased.

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/04/2021 16:30

I need someone to do that for me and put them Into groups.

Wolfcub · 08/04/2021 17:10

I've probably spent about 9 squillion pounds in solicitor emails back and forth today. Le sigh

Unescorted your situation with your boss sounds a bit nightmarish. Are you ok?

I echo all the advice re power of attorney

Gensola · 08/04/2021 17:50

NI is in such a terrible state, I’m really worried for family but they’re ok at the moment thankfully. Am due to go back there when it is allowed on 23 April but maybe not if this keeps up!
I have embryo transfer tomorrow and will watch decluttering program after that, I love shows like this. I used to be on the minimalist threads on mumsnet in about 2012/2013 and loved them, I was sad when they petered out.
We have been having very difficult money negotiations and have ended up selling the shares DH had from his divorce to pay for IVF, rather than going into debt. We will now try to save up to replace that pot asap. Sigh.

SnugglySnerd · 08/04/2021 18:26

I was on those threads under a different name Gen! Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Onwardsandupwardswego · 08/04/2021 18:37

Was on under a different name. Need to rejoin as been spending loads on not a lot

Wolfcub · 08/04/2021 18:38

Welcome back Onwards

Gen shocking footage from NI, hope it calms so you can visit

I think decluttering gives you peace and less to clean. I'm a big fan. But sometimes go through patches of hoarding/inertia

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 08/04/2021 18:59

Sorry to hear that gen. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

The Belfast situation is awful.
Welcome back onwards

Unescorted · 08/04/2021 19:10

If I win the lottery I am going to buy a separate house so I can have a clutter free one - I live with hoarders / lazy arses.

wolf the union is on my side & feel that I can come out of it smelling like roses. I just can't believe how quickly it escalated. Even if it all goes tits up we will be OK.

Can we have a huge party when you finally get to kick your dickhead of a stbxh into touch?

Gen I hope it all goes smoothly tomorrow. xxx

Onwards lovely to see you back.

Snuggly you could sell the charity bags on eBay and get a good price.

Wolfcub · 08/04/2021 19:11

Massive party Unescorted. Massive. With cake.

OP posts:
Unescorted · 08/04/2021 19:13

SingToTheSky · 08/04/2021 19:43

Gen best of luck for tomorrow 💐
I remember the minimalist threads! Had a different name then. Not that I ever reached minimalist status 😳 but I enjoyed it. Def watching the show soon, I need something before the next line of duty!

Spending on takeaway tonight. Also soon paying for some home ed activities for DS as stuff is starting back up again - so relieved for him that he can get back to normal. New forest school is starting and will try parkour as well.

Mrsmadevans · 08/04/2021 20:29

It must be scary for you and your family Gen Shock best of luck for tomorrow lovely Flowers
