Thanks for the outrage on my behalf. I am working on a new mental attitude - I will do my best to ignore the shit. They don't pay me enough to take it personally.

Mrs sorry to hear about your Mum's fall, and pleased she is making a recovery.

tight I need your get things done outlook. I find myself sinking into a stupor of idleness.

Eileen everyone is welcome here.

Frugal tips from me... dry the washing outside, avoid branded things (they have to pay for the advertising budget somehow) and use the library.

Happier - that will be propane or butane both which just disperse into the air. I was worried it was your heating oil which makes a mess.

I expect a snowman em Grin

ememem84 · 10/02/2021 11:01

took my own advice today and put laundry outside. its blowing a hooley but is sunny as hell. and freezing. so my clothes will either dry beautifully or will freeze solid.

i have ridiculously cold hands from doing it though.

not enough for a snowman sadly.

Wolfcub · 10/02/2021 11:31

Fab list of frugal tips there em! I definitely need to up my game with saving.

I’ve just taken the first step to apply for a volunteer role. I found an autism specialist work coach last year and she agrees the best way for me to get back into work is to try lots of different voluntary things and very part time jobs around the same sector. Alongside the degree I’m starting this year it should prepare me quite well. This one is a mentor service for families with new autism diagnoses. :)

Unescorted I too am in the stupor of idleness today. Need to get out for a walk to wake up my brain.

Wolf freezing cold here too but the sun's out and it'll soon be March which I think is officially spring.

Sing that sounds a great plan. Hope you enjoy the volunteering Smile

Em fingers crossed you're not coming down with a cold.

Today is going to be a little boring, working through my messy To-Do pile of life admin. Should be a NSD.

Gensola · 10/02/2021 14:22

NSD today - hurrah! Have been for a walk in my lunch break. It’s bloody freezing.
Trying to keep myself distracted on the 2WW is proving almost impossible. Eyes are square from reading endless 2WW threads.
About to set the timer and do several hours of marking to try and diminish the marking mountain!

ememem84 · 10/02/2021 15:18

I've remained on bed today with supplies - endless tea, water and snacks.

working from bed though so keeping busy....

ememem84 · 10/02/2021 15:34

also have a referral code for anyone needing to renew pet insurance. a £20 m&S voucher for me and two months free insurance for whoever uses code. must be a new customer of petplan.

dm me if you need it.

Unescorted · 10/02/2021 17:33

Sing great news.

It is cold here too - I went for a walk and got caught in a snow storm. I am ready for the summer now.

Eviethyme · 10/02/2021 17:54

Just joined thread. I nearly ended my life last month due to finances falling on top of me but thankfully I had my family to think about and decided to get myself on the right track. It's going to be hard but I have to.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2021 17:54

2WW?

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2021 17:56

Gensola · 10/02/2021 18:02

life two week wait - to find out if I’m pregnant Smile I have now banned myself from all but a couple of current threads. I repeat, I repeat I will NOT spend all night reading other IVF stories from 2004.

ememem84 · 10/02/2021 18:09

evie sorry to hear that. Do you want to tell us more about your financials so we can see if we can help?

What’s the financial goal?

Gensola · 10/02/2021 18:14

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2021 18:39
